I'm not following here. What else does Harman do outside of the film/paper/etc business? As I understand it, they are a reasonably profitable company with the ability to scale production to lower...
You could always pick up a tilt-shift lens for a Canon or Nikon SLR. They're expensive but would give you some movements on a cropped sensor or full frame SLR.
If it keeps Acros on the market I'll gladly pay it. :)
Okay, it was shot on 120 but it was with a 2x3 Crown Graphic so I'll pretend it belongs here. ;) First roll with it after spending about 8 hours trying to get the lens positioned correctly and the...
Unmounted Aero Ektars on their own have been going for about $500-600 recently. Throw in a working Speed Graphic in good condition and shipping and you close in on $800-900 quickly. And that may not...
And thats why I won't be buying anything like this despite an interest in the imagery these lenses produce. :\
This by any chance:

Ooh, that beer sounds good. A shame I haven't seen it around here.

What times are you using for inversion development? I picked up a packet of XTOL and will be using it as soon as my HC110 supply is exhausted.
One of my favorite photos in a while. Not the best technical image - the focus was off due to a miscalibrated rangefinder, etc - but still a favorite.

I switched to VueScane about a year ago from the CanonScan plugin. It really took me a while to adjust to it. I settled on a workflow that looked about like this:
// Set the lock exposure color,...

Silly little memory, but one of my most recent trips to the UK was to visit my wifes family over Christmas. I think it was two or...
In 35mm, its often done with a 'tilt shift' or 'perspective control' lens. These lenses are basically giving 35mm cameras a limited range of movements. Obviously large format cameras can go much...
I believe the iphone app stores the database locally. I just switched to 'air plane mode' and still had all of the database info.

For reference, I went out to the event above mostly skeptical about the movement.
Most of the people were frustrated with how corporations had as much power as individuals. Many were anti-Obama....
I went out to Occupy Seattle last month, October 7th I believe. I shot a series in an attempt at documenting the diversity of people there.

I just took me first trip to Joshua Tree a few weekends back. It was a brief trip with my wife so I was in exploring mode, taking an Autocord and a rangefinder but nothing large format. I definitely...
I go with Rodinal 1:50, 68f, 12 minutes, 8 slow inversions followed by two slow inversions per minute.
Granted, that as my first attempt with the film but I have no complaints and would do the...
I'm still holding out for a good 120 folder steal. ;)
I've had a good good pickups. A box full of 35mm rangefinders for $3 each. Included a several Canonet 17 GIIIs in various states of disrepair,...
I'm still shooting primarily smaller formats so I should probably throw something up here every now and then. ;)

Last time I shot at night - my first time out with a LF camera actually - I found a nearby street light and took an incident reading under it. I wanted that in the shadow so I just put the result in...
I'm a true newcomer here. I picked up a Tachihara 4x5 kit earlier in the month and just got a suitable tripod for Christmas. Feisol 3402 with a PhotoClam 40N ballhead (a huge thank you to everyone...
