Clearly, Kodak's target market is students, and people who try large format for a day, shoot two film holders (forget to remove darkslide on one exposure, another double-exposed), and drop the idea...

Would be nice to see someone buy the stock and continue to sell parts. Buying the business usually means assuming all debts and obligations, right? That seems crazy in this situation.
I had a badly clogged 3800 and let the print head sit on folded handiwipes soaked with windex. After two sessions of this, the head cleared completely.
My tap is at about 73 F--water source is the Potomac river.
Right--my point is that if the Alphax doesn't reduce the maximum aperture, the Ilex shouldn't.
Weird. An Ilex #5 has a 63mm maximum iris. Other 12" Radars mounted in #5 Alphax shutters have f/4.5 apertures and the Alphax has a 58mm maximum iris. Your should be f/4.5 despite the wonky marking.
I make my own lithium chloropalladite--which can be used for developing out or printing out Pd/Pt. It's super easy, but the savings are minor. If shipping/customs are an issue, there's no reason not...
I ordered the Fool's Gold toner from B&S when it was available and never liked it much. There were issues with bleaching and uneven toning. Your results may differ, but there's probably a good reason...
Funny, I just saw a fb post from someone who'd seen new Ebony Camera models in a meeting with the owner. Sad to see a maker of such fine cameras go out of business, if this ends up being true.
My Chamonix 8x10 is teak, and the wood is beautiful and very high quality. Also have a 4x5 in walnut, which is equally nice. Chamonix has high standards for the wood they use.
I'd consider working out a deal with the seller as long as the lights are in good condition. Elinchrom makes high quality equipment and the extra features probably won't be a big deal. My flash gear...
Got it on sale, but it still wasn't cheap. For a reasonably priced light, the Nitecore EC11 is excellent. Very small, but still 900 lumens with an IMR 1850 battery. Also has a red led mode. ...
Nitecore TM26--basically a handheld search light. The current version kicks out 4000 lumens of neutral light from a focused array of four emitters. Built-in charger, uses 4 18650's, OLED...
I only use fresh eggs for my albumen, but I tried (supposedly 100%) egg whites in a carton and they didn't work well. Other people are using dried egg whites, so that probably isn't your issue. You...
I own a ton of bags. My favorite shoulder bags are the classic Domke waxed canvas--minimalist and fairly weatherproof. Best backpack+accessories is Photobackpacker by a mile--the suspension on...
I think you have a career in making 1950’s training films if you can ever find a time machine.
The Harman Titan and the Wanderlust had a baby--already? ;) Looking forward to see the 65mm helical--like everyone else. Would love to see cones, helicals, and viewfinders for 90mm and 150mm.

My Wanderlust camera with a Nikkor 90mm SW f/8 lens, Super Watameter rangefinder, Mamiya Press 50mm viewfinder, and a little custom painting.
Instead of making the distance scale numbers raised, they should have been recessed--it would have been easy to fill them with white paint. Since I prefer a scale in feet, I'm going to make a...
Mine is out for delivery--trying to be productive at work, so I can leave a bit early. What a long strange trip it's been.
Jim-- My tracking number was in the system late yesterday afternoon. Yours will probably go live today.
Definitely reconsider the Wehman--it's a real bargain for a beautifully-designed camera. I can also recommend a good therapist to get over your wood aversion. The Chamonix 8x10 is very...
It seems like leveling bases without bowls usually have limited adjustments--the Acratech's travel is only 10 degrees. If I was going that route, the RRS would be best because of the bowl, and it's a...
Guess I'll order one and see how it works--the simplicity appeals to me.
--Open tripod
--Level ball head
--Mount camera
Leveling the tripod can be time-consuming, especially on uneven terrain. I almost ordered a RRS leveling base that allows the tripod platform to be adjusted in a 75mm bowl. That's along the lines of...
Just got my shipping notice from Badger--some 5x7 Delta 100 inbound. 100 sheet boxes. One. Hundred. Sheets. :)
I just got a new Gitzo series 3 systematic tripod and I'm looking at my head options. For up to 8x10, I've been happy with my Arca Swiss B-1 ball head, but reframing after leveling the camera can be...
Bruce--Thank you for that bit of planning! I couldn't remember the chronology of the P3 introduction in relation to the cascades, and was thinking it would have made sense to make sure you could...
OK, cool--thanks for the update.
Ben, was the full batch of 500+ completed cameras sent out to non-US backers? Are there any cameras being sent out to US backers? Thanks.
I just tried emptying the back pocket of my P3, and a fully-loaded 8x10 cascade fits perfectly. There was even a little bit of room at the top of the pocket to fit my Sekonic spot meter. The anatomy...
I use a P3 for my Chamonix 8x10. A single side pocket is easily enough for a water bottle, food, and a small med kit. A couple weeks ago I took the kit shooting and brought along two cascades, but...
#5 here.
Thanks for the update!
I have a feeling the first Travelwides will be shipped out this week. Not based on any information, but it's been a month since the cameras have been available for pick up.
It's hard to put much stock in a sloppily-written and poorly-researched piece. If you want to read something more than a disposable bit of fluff, try this article.
Custom bellows was fast for me and as for being expensive--the quality of the bellows is much better than the bellows from Rudy. Not every project may warrant Custom Bellows, but they remain the best...
For my current project, I've been carrying a Chamonix 8x10, 2-3 lenses, 3 or 6 holders in cascade pouches, Gitzo CF tripod, dark cloth, meter, loupe, ND filters, small notebook, water, snack--all in...
The instruction sheet is nicely done. I find it very readable, and the layout and illustrations are excellent. As someone that does a lot of writing for my job--I appreciate it when information is...
I have both the 90mm f/4.5 and the 90mm f/8 Nikkor-SW lenses. The larger f/4.5 is fine on my Chamonix 4x5, but it's heavy for a field lens. For outdoor work in good light, the f/8 version is the...
