    Re: Replacement 8x10 darkslides

Also look out for 18x24cm versions of the Fidelity from Europe which can sometimes be obtained for reasonable money - the slides are the same as 8x10 inch version.

Thanks for all the info - I'll try setting #2 when my paper and chemistry arrives. Might also invest in a Minilux for hanging round my neck!

Re: Jobo Maxilux settings for colour?

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm slightly puzzled because my Maxilux Colour has a rotating filter head numbered 1, 2 and 3 rather than A, K etc. Any ideas?

    Jobo Maxilux settings for colour?

I'm hoping to use my Jobo Maxilux safelight for RA-4 but I don't have the instructions. Can any users recall which head setting works for Fuji Crystal Archive paper? I know the setting number 1 is...

    Re: JOBO Process Timer 4

On the similar "Timer 8" you input the desired time for each program in mins and secs. Hitting the red bar at the bottom once starts the countdown (not a digital display on the Timer 4 so wait for...
  7. Re: DeVere 504 Dichromat Filter set up - help needed please

The Mk V twin lamp head does have a sliding shutter mechanism, or at least both of mine do. It is quite sensitive but it's a basic mechanism which might need some cleaning from time to time.

Resembles the Polaroid 600SE finder for the 75mm Mamiya-Sekor lens.....I remember my Cambo finder looking different and without the parallax dial.
  9. Re: De Vere Trans Stab 500 vs Swith Stab 500

I think you can see a dim glow in the lamp filaments when plugged in but timer switched off (ie when the fans are running).
  10. Re: De Vere Trans Stab 500 vs Swith Stab 500

When I owned one of these my MkV was a twin 2 x 250w lamp head with a electromagnetic shutter for shutting the light off the moment that the exposure ends. It also pre-warmed the lamps with a small...

    Re: 355mm G Claron f11 variant.

Interesting....in my mind the late type black Copal 1 shutter with black face on cocking lever doesn't match the age of the lens as suggested by the serial number.

In my experience of watching and...

    Re: Nikon Nikkor-M 200mm F/8 Lens

Wondering how did the 4x10 Imacon holder turn out - both in terms of the quality of the holder and the process of scanning/stitching?

    Re: horseman light meter

I have the version that is factory supplied to work off a PX28 (4SR44) 6v silver battery. I also have the older one that used a 4MR9 5.4v mercury cell. They are otherwise identical in appearance.

  20. Re: I bought Sinar F with no lens board. Advice?

Worth checking that it is Copal 3. Both my Nikkor 210s are in Copal 1 (Nikkor-W and Nikkor ED-AM macro) but I don't have extensive knowledge of the Nikon lineup....
  21. Re: Looking for odd-ball sheet film tanks for our informal online "museum".

I sometimes use these ISE tanks: http://www.ise-pro.com/e.how%20to%20sbdpe.html

Made from grey plastic with a perspex inner basket taking 12 sheets if I recall. Nice small units and does the job.

Re: Komura Commercial 300mm f/6.3 in Copal 3

  35. Re: Do you know what is the problem with this Schneider Super-Symmar 210 XL lens?

    Re: 90mm lens on 8x10

FWIW my Angulon s/n 12 million produces a fairly defined vignette just within the width of the 8x10 sheet. It is certainly mechanically limited in terms of coverage and doesn't really fade gradually.
  38. Re: Horseman Optical Exposure Computer Demonstration
