    Re: Budget $1500.00, KEH

I emailed them with that very same thought. Found out that at the very bottom of the home page you can choose "Classic KEH". Just like old times!

    Dan,

You're right of course, I didn't read carefully.

  3. Re: Converting Horseman 612 for 4x5 or 6x9 to SW612?

Horseman backs are scarce in the US as well...but well worth the effort if you can find one. There was also a Calumet/Cambo 6x12cm back, although the 6x7 and 6x9 format is much more common.

  8. Re: Where to find Large format Camera Tripods on a student budget?

Mamiya America has a student/faculty purchase plan (Mac-On-Campus) that is free to registered students of accredited schools. They heavily discount Induro tripods. Also, Mamiya, Toyo, Pro Foto, and...
  9. Re: Strange fruit : focus problems on Norma

On the contrary, I'd think that all those backs and all those lenses exhibiting the same problem would indicate that it has to be the camera.

I once had a 67mm polarizer that caused a focus shift...
  10. Re: Anyone ever try to 'trick out' a Toyo Field lens board for architectural subjects

You can get more rise on a Toyo field camera (45A/AX?) by using indirect rise. Tilt the camera up, adjust front and back to vertical, and you've increased the effective rise by a lot. Only...
  11. Re: Mamiya-Sekor 65mm F3.5 TLR taking lensto fit on 2 x 3 Century Graphic

One consideration is that the cable release socket on the Mamiya TLRs is on the body, not the shutter.

    Might matter, might not.

  12. Re: Yankee tank query...not the daylight beast!

Jim...thanks for the suggestion. Sounds like an excellent alternative.

Gem, I figured they were still around as everyone seems to have the tanks available new. I'd love to find the "real deal",...
  13. Yankee tank query...not the daylight beast!

    Hi All,

I'm trying to find some lids (floating and snap on) for my Yankee UF45 tanks. These are the ones that require film hangers not the "daylight" piece of crap that we all have owned and...
  14. Re: Linhof Technika for Medium Format Film

Just one photographer's thoughts...I owned, for a short time, a Horseman VHR and found the knobs to be very small and twiddly. I do have fairly large hands so it could just be me. The small gg was...

  17. Re: Question about Tachihara 4x5 field camera

Brian, you're right, the Calumet/Cambo RFH works fine and Wista makes (or made, maybe Bob S. can comment, Bob?) one that has a "guard" to protect the gg from scratches.

  25. Re: Using Lee 4x6 GND density filters with dim slow lenses?

  29. Re: Using Lee 4x6 GND density filters with dim slow lenses?
