  1. Re: Question About Nick Brandt's Post Process + David Burdeny's Work

There was a discussing on Photo.net a few years ago where Nick himself replied, and basically, it`s Pentax 6x7, heavy use of grad ND filters and while he wouldn`t say how he achieved his wacky focus,...

    Re: Arista-EDU Ultra 4x5 ISO 200

Yeah it is David. It`s a weird film really, grain is almost compareable to films like Acros and T-Max 100, but it has a different look and the reciprocity failure is unmatched in it`s suckiness, do...

    Re: Arista-EDU Ultra 4x5 ISO 200

Arista Edu.Ultra is Foma 200, a great film. Do not rate it higher than EI 100 though, a ISO 200-film it is not.

BTZS tubes from the Viewcamerastore http://www.viewcamerastore.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_74&products_id=790

    Re: 5x7 developing

These tubes, you can do 4 5x7`s with two tubes, you`re only in the dark for a short time, changing between chemicals.
  7. Re: 8x10 Advice Needed - Wide-Open 240 at f/5.6 coverage, Chamonix Rationalization

Yeah, back in the 70`s he used an Ektar :) A lot of Jocks work is done with the 250mm f/6.7 Fujinon, and he now use a 240mm Sironar-S....

    Re: Starting Again

I have no experience with FP4+ , but Pyrocat HD (and PMK) I use a lot in BTZS tubes , and IMO it`s one of the best ways of developing sheet film that is. You`ll love it, perfectly evenly developed...
  14. Re: differences betwen 4x5 5x7 and 8x10 when you shoot

I`m with Jack here, I find 8x10 a pretty good step up from 5x7 in "IQ" and I didn`t find the 5x7 setup that much less to carry than my Wehman. So for me the best solution was keeping the 8x10 and...

    Re: Rollei R3

I have tried it in 35mm and 120, with D76 and XTOL. Just horrible IMO, ugliest grain I`ve seen and I didn`t like the tonality either. It`s supposed to be good with the Rollei developer, but I don`t...

  22. Re: Ilford DD Chemistry/Trix pro 320 8x10

I`m just guessing, but DD is probably a replenished developer similar to DD-X and if so , It`ll be good. I have developed 8x10TXP in DD-X and they came out very good, shot at box speed.
  23. Re: Let's talk about 4x5 pinhole cameras...

I have the Zero Image 4x5 and I like it a lot. I only have the 25mm frame and I do struggle a little getting used to that insanely wide FOV. But it`s a good challenge :)

Ah, just as I suspected then... At least you don`t have to discover this the way I did, a long way from home with only the Polaroid 545 and a buch of Readyloads

  26. Re: A Cardboard Box Arrived from China! Chamonix 8x10!

Good :) The reason I ask, I that on the 5x7 Shen Hao I had, the 4x5-back was of similar construction and Polaroid 545 couldn`t be used.
  27. Re: A Cardboard Box Arrived from China! Chamonix 8x10!

Have you tried the 4x5-back with a Polaroid 545 holder yet? I looks like it won`t be usable with it.
