You pre-flash for as long as necessary to NOT produce extra density. Pretty easy to test in the darkroom.
Once you know how long the maximum time is (and of course you recorded how your enlarger...
I have purchased two, a smaller one and a large one. The large one was for some single-shot pinhole camera I made from paint cans. I could change out in the field.
They seems to work fine. ...
There are some threads around here and over at APUG about using Rodinal (normally a film developer) for paper development. Also seen threads where people have used Cafinol (Folgerol, i.e. coffee...
Yep! Just look at the line in the center and start to cross your eyes. You need to experiment a little bit with viewing distance. For me I can pull one into "focus" at 18" to 36" no trouble.

I have Barry's book and his method does work. I've done one small tapered one with it.
I was thinking about trying to use some vinyl wall-paper as the material. Maybe spray paint one side black.
The end result is different but C-41 and B&W film start out the same, latent image in silver halides... Only later in the C41 process do you replace the silver compounds with dyes.
You can...
Image asthetics aside (I do like it, but...) you can't judge an image from a dinky JPG on a monitor. I understand there are limitations on posting images in the forum. But maybe (perhaps you...

Freestyle's APHS litho film is pretty slow stuff. Not panchromatic of course. Also RC B&W paper in the film holders. Rate that around ISO 8. Grade 2, matte/pearl is a bit better than multigrade...

I to remember a touch of the curl and it seemed like it was packaging related. I did a little re-organizing of boxes and bags and was able to remove most of the curve.
All in all, nice stuff and...
I've been playing with the 4x5 and ran a box of 8x10 through Pyrocat HD and got (for me) good results. 2:2:100 in a Jobo and 8minutes rated at ISO 80. This might be a little bit off as I don't have...

I bought one to try with my odd assortment of lenses. So far it has worked great and has the added benefit of letting me more easily hang my 4" Packard shutter on the front of a brass lens and also...

If you are JUST STARTING out and want to practice loading the holder and experiment with camera movements, then use photo paper as your film. Much, much cheaper per sheet. Cut up one 8x10 into 4...
Yes, I was being facetious (horse's ass perhaps  )? Keeping up close as you move around the back works. All they can do is push you out of the way instead of kick. Spent plenty of time...
