  1. Re: Possibly purchasing my late friend's turn key darkroom / studio....

Affirmative on that. Apart from that, asking this forum if I should buy something for $ 500 000 is, undoubtedly, in a class of its own.

Hope strongly Don Quixote will come soon to enlighten us. He knows how to fight for the reality.
  4. Re: Your thoughts on the "Why aren't you out shooting?" post

Too busy to read your posts.
BTW, why aren't you out shooting instead of writing them?
  5. Re: I need help: Selling or licensing digital files

It seems to me the editor was honest with you and you can be reasonably happy. End of the story.
  6. Re: I need help: Selling or licensing digital files

You clearly don't sell pictures to magazines. Asking up to $10. 000 is dreaming. I'm glad if I get everything from $60-$300 for pictures in books, magazines etc.

    Re: Does Anyone Speak Norwegian?

I'm curious (about your big old-fashioned camera) but sceptical (about such old-fashioned photography) - do you really think the young lady could not have this thought when standing for the picture?...
  8. Re: I need help: Selling or licensing digital files

Don't know if it is relevant to your case and situation but when stock agencies digitalized all my slide pictures, now selling them digitally, nothing has changed on their prices.

    Re: Does Anyone Speak Norwegian?

If indeed the 3rd word is "nysgjerrig" (probably misspelled in her writing, I cannot read it so from the bad picture) then it was written by this young creature in the sense - "I want to know, but am...

    Re: Lens board/tool problem (?)

Indeed, I can only concur with you. Such a tool is a must for a LF photographer even more than a dark cloth that is easily improvised in the field unlike this tool.

  21. Re: 4x5 large format field camera that can handle a 600mm lens

Without having the camera on 2 tripods you can forget about it. The shutter closing alone will shake the lens so that it will result in a fuzzy picture.

  35. Re: Field Camera - Which Movements Would You Consider ESSENTIAL

The only absolutely essential movement my cameras need is the one - out of the room - in to the wild. Alternatively, being at home, it's the movement out of the box - on the tripod.
