My attempt to Mr. Kühn and his historic Tea Setup using Ilford Ortho Plus at 40° ISO, continous light and a Pipon Aplanat lens at f8/2sec.104814
I´m using Ilford ortho plus with very pleasing results (grey scale). For Tungsten ISO 40° for natural light ISO 64° to 80°. With ID11 you can get the so called pictorial contrast G64. But it isn´t...
Well, one from me, a test shot.

A very nice shot (genre picture) Sergei! I see, that I´m not the only one who is getting some whites blown out (her hood). I wish sometimes I would have someone (an assistant) holding a scrim on the...
Well, only one and a half our, then she will show up. I´m a little bit scared.:) But I´ll survive.:rolleyes:
George
Yes John! I know what Frank would suggest. "Do not photograph her, look for a cute and well shaped model."

Hallo All,
after reading all the comments I´ll give my theory a chance. As a film holder has two sides, Í´ll shoot one with tilt an one without. I´ll try some better posings and unusual camera...
Hallo Folks,
I have to state here, I have no studio and no darkroom to work in. I do all my indoor photographs in my home. In rooms of max. 20 square yards full of antique furniture (too heavy for...
Hi, cowanw! What I have intended is to tilt the camera back horizontally. The distortion has to be like a squeezing, but I´m not sure it would work.
George
Thank you Kirk!
George
Hallo lenser,
not like Rosie O´Donnel. Sorry.
George
Thank you all for your kind and sometimes humorous words.
It´s a pity but I´m not allowed to show the pictures. The lady was in black (leather corset) and sometimes without. She wanted to be...
Well, I have taken some photographs of a lady and - like the most women - she doesn´t like her appearence. I have to admit that she is a bit fat. And she wants to look slim in the pictures. Oh boy. I...
Thank you Ed for your kind explanation. First I saw your photographs I was thinking abot something like a conservatory or greenhouse. Oh lucky you! Living in the city (rent appartment) I have no...
Dear Ed, just out of curiosity, how/what is you light setup?
I´m admiring you photographs and wonder, how you can get this kind of even but structured illumination of your subjects and the...
If I may explain the reason why. In Germany, specially in rural regions, internet does not exist at all. You have to write a letter to Mr. Gunter and ask him to give you his telephone-number. Sorry,...
Hallo bracan!
These are very nice protraits on DPP. What kind of light did you used? Strobes? If so, how many times you have let pop them?
George
Well, I´m also photographing women of cerain age and one of them has a cat. But contrairy to Frank´s statement the cat is not a problem for her shape but for me. I have to paint all over her legs and...
Excellent captures Luke79!
I wonder how you get girls with that absolutely perfect skin surfaces. I do some nudes too, but specially in b/w the skin is a real problem for me (different degrees of...
Hallo Jim,
I have let them make a print of a crop that would be the same like I would print the image in 20"x25". The scatches and white spots are clearly visible. I have to get them out...
@Frank
It is TMax100
@David
Digital print, David. I´m working hybrid. I´ve tried to remove the spots and scratches, it is a real pain. You have to replace pixel by pixel.
The captures are made...
Thank you all for answering!
@Frank
I like your comment in your eastcoast manner Frank. You are right, why looking on f***ed up pictures at 200%? Its silly! To change the lab is equally difficult...
I don´t know why, but my lab ruined my favorit captures.
I was dust spotting the scans and in the 200% mode I discovered that the most of the pictures looked like someone has scattered some grated...
Oh yes! I know it too good how you suffer.
I´m doing the same for the last 4 weeks and for the next 4 weeks. Every evening from 9 p.m. to 12 p.m. It takes me 3 hours to dust spot one picture with...
Thanks bracan! That is a clear answer!
Some poeple here told me recently, I have to lick the surface and where I´ll taste some chemicals there is the emulsion side. Well, that´s another way to...
Hi all dpp users!
I´m just trying to load my ds with harmann dpp. What side is the emulsion-side? The glossy (sticky) one or the silky smooth one?
The paper makes an "arch" a "bow" when the...
Excellent shot Robert! Incredibel!

Fantastic!
I have to try this process.

Its definitly the Fuji instant film. I have tried it today evening again with a new cartridge of FP100C45 - the picture I´ve got was as my first one - blue.
George
Horraayy!
Finaly I´ve got the negs back from the lab and a low res. scan of the scenery. Everything is O.K. with the lens, the shutter and the light meter. The Fuji instant seems to be deteriorated...
@JoeV
Thank you a lot. If I´ve made my maths correct this would mean 7,5 Watt at f 45 (with my 300mm lens) for 3,5 sec. equal to 250 Watt (Softbox with Nitraphot) at f45 for about 1/10 sec. Is my...
@JoeV
Presume, I have no enlarger to preflash the Paper. Can I do it with natural light (window) or a flash (softbox) in the filmholder using the camera. Let´s say for an 8x10 with 12" lens at f5,6....
Thank you both!
Oh stupid me! Centainly the film plane is different from the sensor plane, so no sharpening possible. It only works for infinity where sharpening is not necessary. Exposure proofing...
