  1. Re: Developing 4x5 slide film livestream LIVE NOW

I created four highlight videos showing the full E-6 film development process:
    1. Mixing the E-6 Tetenal chemicals
    2. Loading 4x5 sheets into a Jobo tank
    3. Developing a batch of large format...
  2. Re: Developing 4x5 slide film livestream LIVE NOW

Starting to select the keepers stream going live now.

edit: stream is now done, but you can find that and past broadcasts on my Twitch page here.

I was quite concerned about exposure as the...
  3. Re: Developing 4x5 slide film livestream LIVE NOW

You can make highlights afterwards, i.e. simple edits to cut out loading of film, which is five mins with my arms in a changing bag :P

Twitch rolled out Twitch Creative a few weeks ago, and there...
  4. Re: Developing 4x5 slide film livestream LIVE NOW

    Stream dropped, back on.
  5. Re: Developing 4x5 slide film livestream LIVE NOW

Yeah, I've done some photo editing on Twitch as well. I had a casting shoot (in digital) on Twitch, but they auto-deleted it after two weeks :(
  6. Re: Developing 4x5 slide film livestream LIVE NOW

Thanks! Just finished the first batch, at least 5 to go. It's going to be a long stream, but that's expected from LF :)
  7. Developing 4x5 slide film livestream LIVE NOW

Not sure where to put this, but I'm livestreaming developing 38 frames of 4x5 film starting right now on Twitch Creative. I'll first mix chemicals and get temps settled, so this'll be a long...

    Re: new55 kickstarter has begun

My KS package arrived! Just in time as I have a studio shoot next weekend.

I'll try out something all the cool kids are doing: unboxing. And since I like to live on the edge, I'll do it live.

    I...

The only ways to encourage and fix things is to buy the things, and spread the word.

I'm hoping to get my first batch before my studio shoot in three weeks.

Re: Are any civilians getting the New Type 55 film yet?

I pledged an order of a magnitude more, as I feel this might very well be the last chance we have in the return of such instant film - and I need instant film for my LF photography. That was also my...

    Re: new55 kickstarter has begun

If it's within specifications, they will end up with the bill. Even if it's not, New55 will likely have to eat up a good chunk of the cost, depending on the contract. Let's hope it's an easier fix!

Hope they get the issues sorted out! The team has gone to heroic lengths to keep everyone up-to-date with the progress, and in giving everything they got to the effort (including financially).

    Re: new55 kickstarter has begun

Yes, looking at per-shot basis, but we should be looking at a whole shoot. Then it's not cheaper, at least not for me.

I shoot 1-3 polaroids per prepared scene/look. When settings are dialed in, I...

    DIY high-tech film drying contraption

2521 is the one that fits six 4x5 sheets. I use it, although I'm considering getting the larger one as it takes most of the day to develop 40+ sheets six at a time (E-6).
