    Be careful if you are going to use strobe lights, they need a pure sine inverters. If you are looking into portable power I would check out the Vagabond II by Alien Bee I have one and it works great....

    Belle Isle would be a good place. The morning is the best time. I have photographed in the Horticulture Building. We could also try to get into the aquarium I might have a contact for that building....

    Just did a test at 15" the lens make a circle that is 8" wide. For me to cover my 4x5 film I need to be 12" from front of lens to the film.

    Is that were you shining a light threw the lens then measure the image circle that it makes. Read something about that. I think you put the light 15 inches from the center of the lens. Might try it,...
