  7. Re: Ilford/Harman Direct Positive FP paper is back

Great new Michael. Thanks for the link.

I had just built a 8x20 pinhole camera primarily for use with this paper and completed it about a month before production stopped.

Re: Film is alive and well in the north west!

So I live in the Seattle area and Glazers is my "local". They actually have three stores right within a block of each other. One for film, darkroom and lighting. Another store for digital, inkjet...
  12. Re: Do you work directly from your pack, or from a ground tarp?

I work out of my pack and will generally lay it anywhere handy. Don't worry to much about dirt on the pack or me as I often lay face down on the ground to get a shot. The pack and the cameras are...
  13. Re: How about PNW LFers get together....in WA or BC or both ?

Sorry to be to vague. I'm really in for anywhere. I would suggest the Olympic Peninsula but it's a bit out of the way and would add to travel time. Same with the North Beach area. North Cascades...
  14. Re: How about PNW LFers get together....in WA or BC or both ?

Hey, I'm in. I'm from the Seattle area but spend a lot of time in the North Beach area on the Olympic Peninsula.

    Re: June 2012 Portraits

Gandolfi, I like the cropped version. Some how the square (or almost square) seems to work better with this image. I could go on and on about why I think so but I'm sure that's not important. To...

Yes I use it on every image I print. I do my printing from photoshop though. I print portfolios for some of the Seattle fashion shooters and this step is key in the whole printing process.

Bit hard to spot the subtleties because of the angle but I think the middle one has good shadow detail without blowing the highlights.
  29. Re: Info About Voigtlander Compur Anastigmat Skopar 1:4.5

I want to thank you all for your help. I have no intention of throwing the camera away if I decide to pull the lens from it. I will either hang onto it or find it a good home.

    thanks again, Brian
  30. Re: Info About Voigtlander Compur Anastigmat Skopar 1:4.5

Domaz, it says f=13.5. I'm not to concerned about full coverage. i have a couple pezvals that don't cover 4x5 and I'm used to it.

Wilhelm, maybe I'll keep them together but the body is pretty...

  32. Re: Voigtlaender Collinear Ser. II No. 8 question

Steven, thanks for the correction. I will make a note on my Voiglaender chart so as to not make the same mistake again.

  33. Re: Voigtlaender Collinear Ser. II No. 8 question

If you serial number is 58560 and I'm reading it correctly then according to the Voiglander chart it was made in 1899.

    Re: TXP320 in HC-110 - times?

Here is what I use. These are for 4x5 and derived from testing and inspection with a densitometer.

    +1 = ASA 200 = 8.5 min 1 + 35

Re: Lenswork Style Folios - New size??

Jim, as a buyer of both your previous sized folios and also a lover of the 11x14 format I would vote for 13x16 folios. I use a 1 inch margin on all my prints no matter what size so that would work...

Re: Which Head, 410 or 405?????
