Austin, I received my copy in the mail today. Very nice book, great photographs. Looking forward to sitting down and reading the text.
Congratulations and thanks again, Brian
What, huh? Someone call my name?
Brian, not asleep.
Congrats Kirk, very well done.
Welcome Bryen.
Not sure if this belongs here or in the film forum or in the for sale forum so feel free to move this thread is needed.
I'm in need of a source to get 8x20 film. I have a trip coming up in...
Great new Michael. Thanks for the link.
I had just built a 8x20 pinhole camera primarily for use with this paper and completed it about a month before production stopped.
Brian
This is very cool and very well done. thanks
Wow, this is stunning!
Hey all, sorry for the wide distribution but I'm looking for a source for a 8x20 film holder. I want to build a 8x20 pinhole direct to positive camera and I need to get a film holder to build it...
So I live in the Seattle area and Glazers is my "local". They actually have three stores right within a block of each other. One for film, darkroom and lighting. Another store for digital, inkjet...
I work out of my pack and will generally lay it anywhere handy. Don't worry to much about dirt on the pack or me as I often lay face down on the ground to get a shot. The pack and the cameras are...
Sorry to be to vague. I'm really in for anywhere. I would suggest the Olympic Peninsula but it's a bit out of the way and would add to travel time. Same with the North Beach area. North Cascades...
Hey, I'm in. I'm from the Seattle area but spend a lot of time in the North Beach area on the Olympic Peninsula.
Brian
Hello and welcome from Seattle, Washington.
Congrats and thanks Rick for the effort on behalf of our little community.
Brian
Man I really like this. Care to share some info about it?
Brian
Ahahahaha, i knew it. Thanks for the levity Mark.
Wow, this is stunning.
Gandolfi, I like the cropped version. Some how the square (or almost square) seems to work better with this image. I could go on and on about why I think so but I'm sure that's not important. To...
Great portrait Gandolfi. First thing I thought of when I saw it was Col. Kurtz from Apocalypse Now. Not sure why, must be the facial expresion and head shape. Love the image and the link. The...
Wow! Perfect color balance. Very impressed with this.
Neal, that is really beautiful. Nice work.
Steve, that is very cool. I do like the "lomo" set of bellows as well.
Yes I use it on every image I print. I do my printing from photoshop though. I print portfolios for some of the Seattle fashion shooters and this step is key in the whole printing process.
That is very cool. I like the comment about it being 1940's. Exactly what I was thinking.
Hey look, a picture. And a damn fine one. Thanks for sharing Nathan
Brian
Bit hard to spot the subtleties because of the angle but I think the middle one has good shadow detail without blowing the highlights.
I want to thank you all for your help. I have no intention of throwing the camera away if I decide to pull the lens from it. I will either hang onto it or find it a good home.
thanks again, Brian
Domaz, it says f=13.5. I'm not to concerned about full coverage. i have a couple pezvals that don't cover 4x5 and I'm used to it.
Wilhelm, maybe I'll keep them together but the body is pretty...
Folks, i bought a Voigtlander Compur Anastigmat Skopar and it will be arriving in the next couple days. I bought the camera for the lens. I want to use it with my Toyo View 45A.
Does anyone have...
Steven, thanks for the correction. I will make a note on my Voiglaender chart so as to not make the same mistake again.
Thank you. Brian
If you serial number is 58560 and I'm reading it correctly then according to the Voiglander chart it was made in 1899.
Brian
Marshal, stunning photo.
Brian
Here is what I use. These are for 4x5 and derived from testing and inspection with a densitometer.
Normal Development = film rated at ASA 200 = 9 min 1/2 + 35
+1 = ASA 200 = 8.5 min 1 + 35
+2 =...
Jim, as a buyer of both your previous sized folios and also a lover of the 11x14 format I would vote for 13x16 folios. I use a 1 inch margin on all my prints no matter what size so that would work...
I have had both and couldn't stand the 410. The quick movement releases hurt my hands and the controls were just too small to get fine control. I still have the 405 (the larger one) and use it on...
Used my iPhone to grab it off the screen and it seemed to work just fine. Took a couple seconds for the iPhone to process it but that has nothing to do with your QR Code.
Thanks all, I have used it with just two threads and it works fine but in the long run I think I'll take ic-racers' advice and just get a new lens.
I do appreciate all the help and the quick...
Hey all, thanks for the quick replies. These all line up to the same thing I'm seeing, threads not matching.
Ian, thanks for the chart I looked all over their site for that but my high school...
