Thanks Vinny, you made my day!
Does anyone knows where can I find Omega D2 replacement bellows?
Thanks!
Tristan,
as Cesar said its a sad time for film shooters in Brazil, specially large format. You can still find basic BW chemistry(d76...) and some large format film in Speed Lab(Rio de Janeiro) but...
Thank you very much, Sanchi!!!
Thanks!
OT, Sanchi, do you know if the Dusseldorf Kunstakademie admits foreigner students? What do you think about it?
Do any of you guys knows whats the best digital printing system? In terms of tonal reproduction, resolution, feel...
What kind of process does Andreas Gursky uses?
Im curious...
You can get a press camera for about $79 in bgn condition at keh.
awesome
@culprit
What I said is that Im in the middle of the road of getting my BFA(equivalent, I study in Brazil). I have been in college for 2 years but I need 2 more years to complete my undergraduate....
This MFA is all I ever asked...unfortunately I need 2 more years in college to get my BFA.
Thomas,
good to know! Do you think it wil fit a Sinar F2, Schneider Symmar-S 150mm, 5 holders, a Sekonic L358 and a Hassel 500cm with 80mm? If it fits it will be my dream bag. I was almost...
I bought a Sinar F2 from FFordes!
Thank you all for your kindness!
Hi,
I would like suggestions on a airport friendly case/bag that fits a Sinar F2. Think Tank its too expensive for me. Any tip?
Thanks everyone for the input.
I made my mind on the F2! I dont own a studio and 85% of my pictures are portraits, I dont need movements with extreme precision.
Hi,
I decided to buy a Sinar camera. Im in doubt between a Sinar F2 and a P. I know they are very different beasts. Is the Sinar P really heavy? I love it looks and I am marvaled by the reviews I...
Steven,
I found other options(in a real shop). My current doubt is between a Sinar P and a F2. What do you think? Is the 4x5 Sinar P really HEAVY? Im thinking about opening a new thread...
Its a terrific camera, I played with one once.
I found another one... ;)
Im leaning towards this Norma, I think I can easily replace this screw with a generic one, and bag bellows are widely available on ebay. Any thoughts? Does it accept normal sinar lens plate? Is it...
What would you prefer?
The Norma -

Or this Arca Swiss?
...
THANKS!
It will be shipped to UK, Im gonna be there next month.
The shorter lens I would use would be a 90mm, do you think it will be a problem?
Hi,
Im looking for a light weight(kind of) inexpensive 4x5 monorail in UK. I stumbled upon this kinky Norma(hahaha)...
Great advice!
I tried to fix the pinholes without success, there are some big holes and lots of pinholes.
Hi,
I have a really worn Toyo 45A camera that needs new bellows(pinholes). I emailed Toyo to know how much a new bellow would cost, they replied really fast that new bellows would cost 170...
Looks like a great camera brand!
wow...sorry to hear that, mate. I guess Im going to save a little more money and buy an Imacon.
For how "little" can I get a drum scanner? I dont mind slow scanning times and using old computers (pre-power pc macs).
If you want to print this big I think that money isn't an awful problem, and a basic 8x10 outfit(if you already have a sturdy tripod/head) isn't much more expensive than a 4x5.
Probably you can...
I don't know if 4 is gonna be difficult, it is a new terrain for me, but 20 is undoubtly difficult.
Im thinking about making some large prints, I don't know the limitations of low grain 4x5 drum scanned film but I doubt I would be able to make a 4 feet long print.
How the hell Andreas Gursky...
Wow...he and Hilla were one of my major influences, in fact, today I started a series totally based on them. Heaven is getting flooded by good photographers.
R.I.P.
I use the 808 for my relatively light weight Toyo 45A. For this purpose I think it is excellent, but maybe you would be pushing it too much with a Sinar.
I just bought the 808rc4 and it is really nice for my Toyo 45A, it should be more than sufficient for your Shen Hao. I use it for my Toyo and my Pentax 6x7(the beast).
I was looking for some stuff in brazilian ebay equivalent and came across this:

Hi,
I own a MC Schneider Symmar-S 150mm 5.6 and plan doing art reproduction. I know that the most common lenses in this business are around 210mm-240mm, but my first job is for some REALLY HUGE...
No, when this lever it's locked the front standard keeps tight, but when the lever is in the center position it slides back and forth( as it should) but not completely straight, I have to carefully...
Jean,
when the front standard is locked it keeps tight and doesn't move, but there is some kind of "play" in the rails and I have to carefully lock it to keep it completely parallel to the back.
