How about using a rheostat in line with the power supply to adjust the light output? Might be the simplest fix to lower the light level.

I know exactly where Turkey Tx. is. I used to go out there alot. Now, go find Old Dime Box, Tx. I used to live at the intersection of Cele Rd., Haman Rd., and Manor Rd. in Manor(used to be Cele) Tx....
I use LF to re-kindle my interest in photography. I've shot film for half a century and was feeling like there was nothing left for me to shoot. Seeing things through the ground glass, then having to...
It's always great to see a youngster getting to use any film equiptment. I started my youngest daughter with a 4x5 when she was 11, she was already a seasoned pro in the dark room with 35mm and 6x9.
I'd like to add my pat on the back to Leigh for a great deal gone the way they all should--smoothly.
I just purchased a B&J 4x5 press camera that came with a 135 Weltar Anastigmat in a Rapax shutter. Upon inspection, the "fully functioning" shutter only barely worked at speeds above 'T' and 'B' ,...
I used to be a die-hard TF-4 user, but the amonia smell was too much to endure in open trays. I've since switched to Legacy-Pro Neutral(formerly Silvergrain Clearfix Neutral). It is very low (almost...

I agree that what transpired on another site should stay there. I believe that there is possibly a good explanation for what happened, and that said item will show up. My personal experience with...
Just now reading this thread, I have to chime in. I recently purchased two items from the evil place, some Ilford paper that turned out fogged. The seller gave me a total refund including my...
Cool...your camera can see into the future!! How about taking a pic of the power ball so we can get the winning number;)
I found that soaking the fixed film sheets for an extra minute in a tray of fixer removes the "banding" imprint. When my timer rings that I'm finished with the fixing phase, I dump the fixer into an...
I purchased the AT-213 leg set (AKB-2) a couple of years ago, with a ball head, and love the pod. I soon realized the ball head too fishy with my Calumet cc-401, so I swapped out for an Induro PHT-2...
We used to fish in the "Box" when I was a kid growing up in New Mexico. I caught the biggest trout of my life at eleven, when my dad let me play hookie from school one spring to fish with him and my...
I also recommend using LPD developer at 1+1 for cool tones. I found it helps my prints look a touch more contrasty than they actually are.
I suspect a large part of your problem lies with an overly bright "safe" light. Your safe light shouldn't be over 15w and definitly not a party bulb. I use a Premier 5x7 with a red lens and 15w bulb,...
You may possibly find the dimensions here.

The images show up just fine on my screen. Love them, keep up the good work.
The easiest way to shrink the image is to use a longer focal length lens. Use a 300mm lens for 4x5 instead of a 150mm.
I've been using Induro tripods for some time now, and like them. I have always had good service from the company and prompt response from them for the couple of small niggling issues I've had.

I rate Foma films at half box speed and develope in Pyro (formerly P-cat-HD, now PMK Pyro) as I feel the emulsion is soft and needs to be hardened. I use water rinse between dev and fix, as acid stop...

You could keep an enlarger on a trolly of sorts and only have to roll it aside.I'm curious, doesn't the freezer compressor cause vibrations and give slight blur to your prints? Anyway, my Omega D-5...

I have a 14cuft chest freezer loaded with film and enlarging paper, and an under counter fridge full of film. The food lives in my side by side in the kitchen.
I use 850ml solution for taco method in an Arista tank, my supposition is not enough developer. Also, make sure your lid screws on properly. My lid always tries to start crooked, it feels right but...
