  3. Re: Harrison film changing tent stinks. Literally.

I feel better now, thanks :)
My three year old was very serious when she informed me of this. I guess I'm living with it.
  4. Harrison film changing tent stinks. Literally.

Took a longer than anticipated break from shooting and pulled out the tent to check my holders for film and the thing reeks. The coating on the fabric has always been a bit "sticky" but now it's...

Re: Rest in Peace...Per Volquartz 1947-2011

Per was a great teacher. He had that quality of being gentle and honest with critiques and completely infectious with his vision. I first met him at a workshop in Zion's national park. I had never...

I often make paintings where feet and hands are dirty so I'm really relating to this.

    Re: Processing OLD panchromatic film

I've had so-so results with film from the late 60's and early 70's using HC-110 and adding benzotriazole.

    Thanks guys.
Rick, I didn't need to use your old plane on these but I did while replacing part of a window sash on my house a few weeks ago.

    Re: 8x10 film processing

I can only comment on the Jobo option. I was patient and found mine for $200 used. It's still pretty pricey and if you don't mind one at a time in a tray then that's by far your cheapest/best method....

I started this project just before moving 2500 miles cross country for a new job and a house that need a ton of renovations (including a darkroom). This week I dug out the box of parts and got to...

Oops! Efke 100 shot at iso 320

I was shooting some 8x10 HP5 (set the meter to 320) and switched to my 5x7 Efke 100 but forgot to reset my meter. I hate to lose those shots and wondered if there was a way to salvage the negs?
