Yes to err is human. However continuing to justify the mistake takes it to another level.

    Re: LFPF censorship and moderation

So the position of the forum is that members of the LGBT community (and forum members) are akin to Neo-Nazis, KKK or Isis. That is both insane and offensive on a level beyond my ability to describe...

Re: Wood tripod, sticky sliding legs

Looking at your image I would suggest a lite sanding or going over with fine stainless steel wool and then applying a proper oil. I would then wax after the oil has dried sufficiently. This approach...

The fact this thread still exists is great proof of the restraint shown by the moderators.
  9. Re: plastic-dip in a can or spray and smooth with a brush ?

I have found liquid electrical tape to be the best solution. Small can comes with its own brush and dries well without residual stickiness.

Re: Is photography a form of "hoarding"?

Photography, no. Buying more and more equipment that you really do not need or use, yes.

Re: Dissembling large format multi cell lens?

If you ever plan to sell that lens to someone, leave it alone or send it to a professional.
  13. Re: Wista RF/SP/VX comparison- Is there something I'm missing?

All the Wista cameras should have from drop.
Drop the bed and tilt the lens panel back to make it parallel to the back, use the rise to position the lens.
As far as usefulness of the micro-focus,...

Re: Great Potential for Gear Hauler

This might be fine for moving a carcus about. I personally would not put a child or valuable cameras on it.
A loss of footing or loosing your grip on the handle could be catastrophic.
  15. Re: For-Sale-Wanted Rules changes coming on 3 Apr 2016

What will happen to existing adds placed in the days before the change occurs? Will they need to be reposted or just switch over?
Apologies if this has been covered. Thanks.

You can purchase the whole thing ready to mount on your camera. The AWB wind stabilizer from The View Camera Store.

Re: Help with Phillips knurled knob

What metal are they? Is it not possible to remove the knobs and have a machinist alter them for a better grip.
  25. Re: Correct lubrication for metal sliding beds and tracks?

I was going to suggest this as well, I have used a version from West Marine used to lubricate sail track. Highly effective without collecting dirt.

  29. Re: Does "contemplative" best describe the LFer's state of mind?

Okay, I thought about it. If you are not working in a contemplative, slow and deliberate way you have a problem.

Re: Ansco 8x10 replacement case - any success?

  31. Re: Does "contemplative" best describe the LFer's state of mind?

I'll need some time to think about this. In a slow deliberate manner of coarse.

  35. Re: New Catagory for Alternative Printmaking via various digital means

Since the image has been digitized at some point to produce the final print, it would seem more appropriate to use the digital processing sub-forum.

For sale posts should be made by the seller, questions should be sent and responded to by private message. No other comments necessary.
