    Argentina B&W processing ?

I'm heading down to Argentina / Bolivia in November for a large format B&W assignment. Due to the demise of ready loads and fear of exposed film in boxes being ruined by border security opening them,...

    Re: George Hurrell lighting

I think most people underestimate the retouching. In my early years I was taught how to pencil retouch on LF negs, we used an adams retouching machine and various leads and dyes along with etching...

Re: Epson Exhibition Fiber any experiences?

Love it, best BW "Air Dry Fiber Look" I've seen yet. I ended up using it with the Quadtone RIP on my 2400, it has a lot more options than the Epson ICC and is an inexpensive (Free trial) RIP. ...

    Gnassgear ripoff

I ordered a product Sept 07, he charged my Visa, he won't reply to emails and his phone is disconnected. Most Credit card companies won't let you file a dispute after 60 days, mine made an exception....

    Re: Gnass Out of Business?

I ordered sept 3rd and have had the same experience. I had heard he was a bit unreliable but this is ridiculous. A simple "Sorry I can't fill the orders" would suffice.
    Nice gear, lousy businessman.

  12. Re: loupe and multifocus viewfinder advice when wearing glasses?

They are also great at saying things are in stock, then back-ordering, and eventually sending the item long after the order has been cancelled.
  15. Re: Not your usual rant about the TSA, this one is expensive

Having had a lot of gear stolen over the years and spending a lot of time finding out what happened, I can tell you that most TSA rooms are very secure and are under surveilance. The problems occur...
