I particularly like the geometry of the first one. I always prefer overcast days for photographing in the woods.
Have you developed an unexposed sheet to gauge what the fog is like? Had some HIE a few years ago with blotchy fog that was quite unusable.
Here’s the test for my current box of HIE - top is just...

I was gifted some 4x5 HIE recently. It's been in a freezer for 20 years. It is slightly fogged, but still usable.
2nd pass lith - Ilford MGWT, Arista Lith.
Ha, ha, Bob.
A couple of prints made for cyanotype day last weekend. Hand-coloured.

Another beauty, Andreios.
Lovely Jeff!! The trees receding into the mist really invites me in.
Thank you Billie and Jim. Here's another of my gummed pinholes - just took it down from the clothesline in my darkroom.

Richard, I'm particularly impressed by the two trees image. Very powerful, in a quiet way.
Wasn't sure where to put this - with the old cars, alt prints, or here in the pinhole thread.

Abhishek, hard to believe you are a novice with 4x5! I hope you can tell us you've honed your eye for composition, and your technique with developing on other formats. Then I won't feel too bad...

Nice, Joe! The quality of the light through the trees is perfect!
ndg, very 1960 beatnik retro - nice!
Matthias - just lovely.
These were 3 gum layers. I use the 8x10 negatives. Haven't wrecked one yet. (Knock on wood.) I mucked about for awhile with digital negatives, but what a pain! Computer problems, printer problems,...
Thanks everyone. I'm quite happy with these. They were taken outside Victoria, at a B&B we stayed in for our 15th anniversary.
Nanaimo's great in many ways - lots of green spaces, access to...

Very growly looking truck.
There's a thread called 'Old cars, trucks, and motorcycles'. It's been inactive since last fall, but it's time for the car show season to get started again, here in the...
I shot a lot of 120, but a few sheets got exposed in my Titan, at a small car club get together. This neg looked the best, so I made a gum print today.

Ooooh, a big Mack! I like the vantage point. For 17 years my husband was the guy with the gray-hair-inducing job in the passenger seat.d
Lovely J! Care to share a favorite recipe?
Thanks Billie and Jim.
It was shot on HP5+ (10 minute exposure under modelling lights)', developed in ABC pyro, printed on MGWT, thiocarbamide and selenium toning.
I love my Titan! Do I really need my other cameras?

I set up these pears and shot them with my Korona 8x10, and with my Titan. This pinhole image outstrips the other. Didn't have to ...
JC, I am in awe of your creative drive, and ability to find unique beauty in your immediate environment. Seeing your name on a recent post means I click there first. Thanks for the inspiration. ...
120 film stuck down in my film holder and exposed in 8x10 Titan. Lots of failed attempts, but this one worked. Anybody got a better idea for sticking film into holder? Tape didn't work for me. This...
