No the Cathedral was only started in 1910, designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, who also designed the iconic British red telephone box. It was finished in 1977, but only opened in 1978.

Thanks for the comments, most apriciated. The second image, the lighting was not that bad, for a cathedral, it quite light inside. From my notes it was a 22 second exposure @ f16 on Adox CHS II...

Thanks for the comment. I've not tried x ray film, but may do if I move up to 8x10. Adox not that expensive in Europe and I really liked the old emulsions, had to give the new stuff a try.
