    Re: Nikkor W 180mm f/5.6 vs Fujinon W 180mm f/5.6

I know this thread is old,but here is a favorite of mine taken with the Nikor W 180. Seems pretty good to me.

Re: 8x10 Burke and James View Camera, advice

I just saw this post...I have a 5x7 Grover...it's a beast but solid...if the bellows is good, then $275.00 for the camera alone seems lie a good buy.
  4. Re: Celluloid no more: distribution of film to cease by 2013 in the US

Well, maybe Kodak and Fuji won't bother with still photography emulsions, but it seem that Ilford, Efke, and Adox have done just fine producing and selling BW film. I could live with that, if need...
  5. Re: Is There ANY Reason To NOT Buy a 5x7 Today... COLOR NEGS Only?

I plan on shooting as much Ektar 8x10 as possible...5x7 is a sweet format...if you shoot 4x5, why not 6x7 and call it a day? True no movements on a 6x7 MF camera but most shoot for the resolution......

    Re: HC110, what's your feelings?

Well John, if it does it does. I doubt it though. But if it did and Kodak folded shop, there are other developers that could probably take it's place without a lot of fan fare, my guess.

    Re: "Maximum" Print Size?

Bruce - absolutely. One must do the work and I believe I have said earlier I really won't know what I like when I like it until I begin to print. (wow, too many "I's"..:) )

I think this thread took a slightly unexpected turn...I was just asking typically, (if such a thing :) ), what the largest maximum print we would agree for any given format/film-type combo....

    Re: Microtek ScanMaker i900 - 4x5, 5x7 holders?

That's true, Peter. It all is relative to viewing distance as well. I will just have to get shooting, developing and eventually printing this year.
