    Re: Extending C-41 Dev Capacity

Thanks everyone. As always great feedback. It's more of a science experiment than true cost savings. Like, rather than dumping chemistry... What would I need to get 3 or 4 more sheets developed if I...

    Extending C-41 Dev Capacity

A slightly different slant on this question. Let's assume my kit (Unicolor) is good for minimum 12 rolls before I would need to start monitoring/increasing dev times to account for exhaustion. If I...

    Re: PNW Photo Spot?

Thanks. Today was a disaster. Just too wet to take the camera out. Might look into Thurs/Fri or come back in July ;)

For the record, I made it a ways towards Snoqualmie Pass and turned around....

    PNW Photo Spot?

Anyone have some last ditch recommendations on some good locations I can visit for some large/medium format this weekend?

I'm looking for some landscape scenes, dense forest, maybe mountain...

sheel - Great pics! What film/format?

Drew - Agree, or even start with bath water higher than your desired processing temp - assuming the chemistry will bring the bath temp down as the chems...

Jackpot! Finally got around to mixing chemistry and developing a couple test rolls of film. Here's some notes from my first (ever) color development:

Re: Color Developing Tempered Bath Heater

Appreciate all the comments, great stuff. I built a 1/2 barrel automated brewing system from scratch that will maintain 20 gallons at about +/- 0.5° for hours. All automated from a tablet. If it...

Re: Color Developing Tempered Bath Heater

I thought this too but in the comments it says 0.5F adjustment and 0.1F readout. I'm sure the 0.01F accuracy is the element, not the ability to maintain water accuracy. I should have been in...

Re: Color Developing Tempered Bath Heater

Totally agree on value/cost. I just ordered one. Will test in my small cooler and report back. Even if it doesn't hold temp, it should make heating the bath easier while doing other things.

    Color Developing Tempered Bath Heater

Anyone by chance see/use something like this for a tempering bath? Thinking this will solve my DIY project. Set increments of 0.5F and accuracy of +/- 0.1F seems too good to be true.

It's only the second time I used it...

I would like something that I can use in sunlight especially on long backpacking trips.

Are there any good recommendations for a lightweight tent?

    Changing bag light leak

I am getting light leaks from the elastic arm holes in my changing bag. They are only about 4" long, unlike many tents I've seen with 12"+ arms.

The double zipper makes sense but when I put my...

Not experienced with C-41 chem yet, but wanted to share I had the same experience (2 sheets bad, 2 sheets good) in B&W batch recently. The bad sheets looked just like yours.

Re: Show Me Your Night Shots!

Great call out Pere. I realize I mis-wrote this, it was actually 8s calculated at a wider aperture and as I stopped down bracketing it was 15s (or 25s with reciprocity)

    The greater point is spot...
