In the photo I removed the ring with lettering on it. Whats left looks like its inside the barrel. Not sure how you get that off.

Anyone know how to remove the front element of a 610mm APO Nikkor? I removed the rear two relatively easily. I don't see where a spanner would go on the front.
Thanks
Chris
Did they ever make non circular aperture opening waterhouse stops for the APO Nikkor process lenses? I've seen people use triangular ones on old brass lenses to reduce the amount of exposure in the...
I've managed to knock some off by force and replace them with Geier & Bluhm PN 3-0507. I glued them back on with acrylic glue.
With the correct rollers even on lowest speed it occasionally skips. Much worse on 4. Here is a link to a video that shows one skip. JoboSkip
It appears to skip on the drive gear to the lift not the gear to the cog on the drum. The gears look new but the drive gear kind of wobbles. I think I do have the arms on the rollers. I will try the...
I have a refurbished jobo CPP2 that I want to use with a 3005 drum. I noticed when it reverses it will jump a few teeth on the cog unless I put pressure on one side of the lift. How much will it...
Here are some photos of my 5x7 Elwood parts

I picked up some 95mm B+W and Heliopan filters at KEH. I use step down rings for most lenses. I thought 95mm was big until I put circular filter on my 72mm SA XL. Now I wish I could find used 110mm...
I use adapter lens boards on my VX125 and mount all lenses on Linhof. Least common denominator among my various cameras. I always did that even with the Sinar. That large lens board does allow for a...
Sinar wasn't always cheap. I think they were close to the same price as the Arca. Many professional people used them, So more supply and less demand drives the USED price down. My VX was practically...
I have the Sinar F and Toyo VX. I think the VX is a bit better for backpacking. It's a little lighter and more compact and has geared rise. If I could have purchased an Arca for what I paid for the...
Can any current/prior owners tell me if you leave a lens on the Ebony 57SUE how much larger than 13cm it makes the camera?
In the pictures it looks like the 4th extension could also retract some...
The 30mm extensions are screwed on to give the full 300mm bellows extension. You have to remove them to put the camera into the fitted case. There is a spot in the case for them. So if they don't...
I was wondering if it had a range like the Rodenstock 210mm Macro Sironar which goes 1:3 to 3:1.
So I was wondering at what range of it would start to cover 8x10. It won't cover 8x10 at infinity....
Anyone know what the reproduction range of this lens is on 8x10? Specs are 400mm image circle at f22 for 1:1. What's the reproduction ratio that just covers 8x10?
perfect timing. I'm getting one in a few weeks
I found out today the finish on the wood is water soluble. I'll call Keith Monday and see what I can do to fix what I did. I thought I would try my new camera and lens out today at a local waterfall....
I just bought a second hand one and I wonder if anyone has any tips on its care and use. It has no markings to align/center the standards. I can do most by feel except for the height of the front....
Other than what's listed here http://www.largeformatphotography.info/lenses/LF8x10in.html
Are there any wide angles for 8x10 that will give 5-6 degrees of tilt in portrait orientation and take 95mm...
The lens comparison on the site lists it as just covering 8x10. I'm wondering how it works out in actual use.
I bought one:cool: but it won't mount in a standard copal 3 hole. I'll either have to harass the seller or get SK Grimes to make me something. I can't use the spacer either.
Anyone here have a Cooke XVa in a shutter?
Were you able to mount it to a standard copal 3 lensboard or did you need to enlarge the hole?
Did you use the copal 3 shutter spacer?
I use print drums to develop 4x5, 5x7, and 8x10 film. I load them in a changing tent. I only need the bathroom darkroom to enlarge.
I'd love to have an Ebony 57SUE
I have a Sinar P2 8x10 rear standard and normal bellows that I may part with. I have 4-5 holders and film as well. Although It will be cheaper if you look for an old wooden 8x10.
Bob do both cover 5x7?
My gas journey has been:
Cambo SC monorail
Wista SP metal folder (wouldn't handle ultra wide angles well)
Sinar F monorail (only a little bit heavier and great for ultra wides but bulkier. I could...
Anybody try the Rockland Colloid Tintype Parlor Kit from freestyle? it sounds like the sheets may be thin enough to put into a 4x5 holder.
Chris
I used it on a Wista SP. You do have to be careful when mounting it. Also it will hit the bellows when using a lot of rise.
I'm interested as well. I have some spare micro controllers and I just purchased a single green and blue luxeon LED's. I think I will try contact printing with the bare LED's to see how well they...
The one it came with is a Carl Meyer 8.25" Antistigmat. Its in nice shape but I have heard they are not very good. I also have a Kodak Ekatanon 7.5" but it has some scratches and half the coating is...
would they fit a 2.5" diameter lens?
I just bought a 5x7 all metal Elwood enlarger and I'm wondering how people use contrast filters with it? It doesn't have a filter drawer. Are there large under the lens filters?
Does the all metal Elwood have adjustments for negative carrier to baseboard alignment?
I'm in Connecticut. I'm between 3-4 hours drive to southern/middle NH. So If I can do it on a weekend it's possible.
I found an older wooden Elwood that is a tad smaller than my D5XL. I haven't heard from the guy in Philly. I'll make a base for it like my D5XL (24x36). I'll be able to use the same cart.
I'm contacting the guy with the Elwood.
I do use a cart for my D5XL. I wasnt planning on lifting it but it can't have a 6ft column.
