Nikon 150 mm W Lenses Differences

    Hi All,
I am looking for a nice 150 mm lens, and looking at auction listings. I noticed that some of the descriptions for the Nikkor W 150 mm 1:5.6 lenses have an "S" in a circle at the end of the...

    Re: Wista 45d

From experience I believe the opening for the ground glass for the 45D is about 2.5 millimeters shorter than others. I purchased a Yanke ground glass/fresnel/grid set from China on the auction site...

Just take your time and do all the lugs including the side ones. Once that is done, you'll love the SP-445.

Had same problem. You need to sand down the flash in the groove with 600 grit paper. It’s in the instructions.

Re: Stop Down or Use Tilt for DOF

    Hi All,
I decided to just try out my lenses and see what is sharp and what isn't. I first decided to do something in my studio. I had some Spanish Moss and ferns from fallen branches from Harvey...

Stop Down or Use Tilt for DOF

    Hi All,
My question is about the best technique to get adequate depth-of-field without losing adequate sharpness. I have been stopping down to about f/45 recently. My DOF app tells me I should...

    Re: Screw Source for C-403

I think this would have been perfect if I had had the patience to wait until I was near a Harbor Freight store.

    Re: Screw Source for C-403

I reamed out the hole in the lever with a Harbor Freight step drill. The step I reamed it to read "3/16" , which is just over the .183 of the screw head.
It looks like the hole is bigger though. ...

    Re: Screw Source for C-403

    Harold,
I did order those screws from McMaster-Carr and have received them. I think I am going to replace all 4 screws so they match and then ream out the holes a tiny bit if they need it. At...

    Re: Screw Source for C-403

    Harold and All,
Very good advice. I do appreciate it. It seems I will have to take very little off of the head to made it the right diameter. It should look stock. I thought of reaming out the...

    Re: Screw Source for C-403

Thanks everyone for the advice. Yes, I've been to the Ace Hardware store and Home Depot, but I really didn't know what to look for. I will go back to Ace and look at their 4-40 screws. I have the...

    Re: Screw Source for C-403

    Hi All,
Thanks for the advice. I will take out one of the screws this weekend and take a macro photo of it, and also take some measurements with a micrometer. For those of you that don't know, and...

    Hi All,
I am looking for a source for the thick headed machine screw that acts as a pivot for the slider levers for the standards. Not sure if I described it correctly, but included is a photo. I...
