Re: Linhof Master Technika 2000 or 3000?

The most obvious difference between the MT2000 and MT3000 is the location of the control for the wide angle focussing mechanism inside the shell.

If the mechanism uses a small lever under the...

Re: SOUTH WEST UK - 6X17 USER + Xpan II

There are a number of well known photographers in the UK who run workshops.

One of whom (Colin Prior) built his reputation on the Fuji GX617, so would be well aware of the foibles of that camera....
  3. Re: An actual jobo cpp2 motor replacement that exists? Check this out

If it's the controller that's failed, then get a cheap 24vdc PWM power supply from the internet and wire with motor directly.

It's a bit of a pain, but easier than trying to fix or source a...
  4. Re: An actual jobo cpp2 motor replacement that exists? Check this out

I reached out to several suppliers of Valeo motors and the nearest i could get had a minimum order of 10 motors.

  7. Re: Ilfospeed Multigrade 400HL head and 400C controller: compatible with new MG paper

Yeah, part of the reason i've been stock-piling MG500 setups as the PSU's seem to be the weakest link in the setup.

    Re: Jobo CCP2 problem

The brass insert is slotted and the fingers grip the motor shaft by friction.

The more you tighten the screw in the cog, the more the brass insert retracts into the tapered hole in the cog and the...

Another vote for the Linhof 3-Way leveling head.

Buttery smooth, locks solid and more than capable of holding my Technikardan.

If you do decide to buy Vaughn, Camera Bellows in the UK can supply an OEM quality replacement.

    Re: 5x7/13x18 daylight processing

Try and find a Paterson Orbital processor. It does two 5x7 sheets side by side or four 5x4 sheets at once.

Very economical on chemicals but sometimes hard to find.

  23. Re: Paterson Orbital: seeking advice on modifications for sheet film processing

Yes, i make sure mine is fully dry before reloading the Orbital.

It reduces the risk of getting marks on the film. I still pre-wash before adding the developer.

Likewise, my Orbital has the rubber bumpers arranged so i can do 4x 5x4 or 2x 5x7 sheets at a time.
