    Re: Creo IQSmart3, Ebay .

Case damaged and no software? One explanation was that it's a stolen item.

Well, now I see that has already been pointed out. And I thought I was so smart.......

    Re: Microtek M1 Scanner

And THAT seems to be the lesson that I too have a hard time learning. Ya gets whats ya pays for. Inexpensive scanners become expensive in quantity.

    Re: The new Microtek scanner...

    I agree.
It certainly appears with scanners that you get what you pay for.

I would prefer that the M1 be a $2000 scanner.

    Re: Panoramics about nodal point

What are you trying to do?

Generally, with LF panoramics are made with a single sheet of film. 6x17, 4x10, or a crop. The first multiple film method I would try is making three exposures using...

  10. Re: Selling at craft markets - hard lessons learned.

I do believe you would find that the yearly expenditure for art and art-like decorative objects is at a high.

But I don't believe it's simple at all. Just that there's a huge market between a lady...

Re: How to get into a gallery

The closer you are to the mass of new photographers, the harder it becomes. Landscapes from a dlsr printed at 13x19? Your work needs to be at the very top of a huge "pyramid" of competitors.

Re: Canon 5D with Pentacon Globica II ?

I have to ask - to what advantage is using the adapter? Shooting the 5D, with a Canon lens, on a tripod will produce the same result. It will also be easier to use and probably sharper.
  13. Re: New Silverfast feature in 6.5 - Multi Exposure Scanning

The 100% view won't look as good as dslr digital at the same magnification. But the much bigger file should make a very detailed print. This should be true for any of the consumer scanners mentioned...
