Just wanted to say it works. 80mm back lens fits, just...;-) (got a really nice mint on from ebay, will be interesting to try it out!)

An other reason for lack of commercial sellout in Sweden is the tax system. Especially if you are selling through a well known gallery there simply is not much left for the artist. A calculation...
I realise this might be different in other parts of the artworld. My views are from the contemporary artscene in Sweden, where there is not much money to gain from selling, and even less "cred". Art...
I would say its so hard making money from selling art, no matter if you would try to adjust it to some likely "demand", that if you are looking for money, dont do it.
If you are prepared to...
Thanks everyone! Guess i have to dig them out of wherever they are, take a picture and put them on ebay in some nice batches....;-) But right now i am too busy..... will let you know here when I get...
I got myself a Lowepro Comutrekker Plus AW and that fits nicely (in the main compartment) my Wista 45 Sp, 10 film holders, 2 extra lenses (small), light meter, rollfilm back, polaroid back,...
I have about 40pcs of used 9x12 film holders. However, at least here in europe theres only 4x5 film available. Are they usable and sellable? At what price?
Rgds PM
Thanks all for commenting!
It seems some of you find the word "investment" so bad in relation to photography you did not read the post, only the title? Didnt realise the topic was "hot"...;-)

I have started thinking that perhaps LF gear will not drop any further in price now, and that LF might be the format best surviving the digital age. Only that the used gear moves from commercial...
Are there no alternatives to the Angulon 90/6.8 if I want a 90mm that folds into my Wista 45SP? Preferably a bit more modern, with MC and slightly bigger image area, and brighter than f6.8?

Could someone experienced with ebay give a short descriptio of how to not be robbed as a buyer? Sellers reputation naturally, but perhaps you dont want to be limited to buying only from traders with...
Hi,
I have the option to buy a 75/5.6 mounted on a linhof style recessed board complete with a simple cable release, but I am unsire about what a fair price is.... There are two for sale on ebay...
Tried the matte "corner-looking" technique outside yesterday, and I cant say it works at all for me. No way to see through, especially if the subject is not bright sky....
So, will try the looking...
OK, now have all the lenses here. The Sironar-N 135mmm was great and fold into the SP with caps no problem. The Angulon 90mm folds nicely too, but I got a bad lens with separation and bad shutter...
Hi,
I just got myself a Wista 45SP kit that I will be using maninly for nature, art photography (not real hiking, more urban parks, or travelling by plane and car to where I can take pictures...
I would think my freezer is a standard -18-20 Celsius. They were only there for a couple of hours...perhaps the chemicals didnt have time to reach that low temp in the unopened box.... think I will...
Just got an idea....since I do have six large and very good Symmar and Sironal lenses in the range 90-300mm for my Sinar I could just move some of them to Wista boards....they have no shutters, but...
Used one of them to take my first picture ever with my new Wista 45SP and Sironar-N 135, and they seem OK! (but then I am no polaroid man....perhaps the result is below OK...I dont know...but it...
Great service here from Photax. The think is now on its way to me.... /PM
Well..... So thats what it is. I have one! Been wondering what its for...;-) Wow! Lets see if I can use it on my Wista 45Sp too.....
Otherwise the barndoors seem good.
I did also buy an...
So, now I got from ebay an Angulon 90/6,8 a Sironar-N 135/5.6 and Fujinon A 240/9. All probably a bit overpriced, but I also value my time...;-) The 240 will probably not fold into my Wista 45SP,...
Thanks, will open it and give it a try. Let you know.... /PM
I dont normally work with Polaroids, but since I have had this 545 holder just sitting here I thought I should try if on a trip. So, I bogth an expensive 20-pack #54 and put it in the...
Thanks! Didnt know that about the cut corners! Will give it a try..... however, according to the later link, you can allow some of the hood to be visible in the corner, as the light falling in that...

Sweden. Already asked Photax.se to try and get the part for me.... Will they succed? /PM
Hi,
I do use a hood for my Sinar, and bought one for my ne Wista 45SP. However, I am never quite sure how to best use them...that is, how far to extend it....pulling it out until I get vignetting is...
Hi,
I just removed the back of my SP (had to try out what those buttons on top of the camera did), and then happened to touch the soft material in the (light leak protection?) ring at one point....
Hi, I just bought a Wista 45SP, with no manual. Could anyone give me some help to figure out som points (I used a Sinar, but never a field camera before):
1. It is supposed to have a fresnel...
Are there any reasonably small/light modern 90mm with f6.8 or better?
But they are huge and heavy...and expensive.... (how/what difference is seen in a 1x1.5 meter print from 2 meters viewing distance would you say?)
/PM
Is there any special reason for the >5million serial? Any difference between >2 or >3 or >4 too?
Woud you say the Sironar-S is worth the money over the N? Image quality wise....
And will the 90...
Hi,
doing some research I have chosen these lenses:
90/6.8 Angulon - not much movement, but I dont think I need that on the 90mm. The only really small 90mm I could find. Good enough?
135/5.6...
Darryl, thanks for a very informative post!
Would you say theres a great difference in matte-screen lightness between the f5.6 and the f7.7?
I think older non-MC could be a nice way to go. Flare...
Well Andrew, all the Sinar lenses are without shutter, and I pretty much know what I use, so I figure just go get those three right away. Thanks to the link I now think it should be possible to get...
Great link that!!! Exactly what I need! /PM
Thanks Andrew!
As I mentioned, I would probably prefer small size and weight over optical performance, but only to a limit....and I probably would like at least f5.6 to try to get away with not...
