This is a shot that is NOT Photoshopped....
Allen, it is so easy to make the tanks out of plexi or PVC. There are a number of places that will supply you with pieces cut to size, or, even better, if you have a table saw you can cut them...
I have had serious issues with the "NEW" formula. Can't get my whites white. Tried different papers. Really wish I had someone I could see making it. I tried three times and got different residual...
Richard, look here, some of them are listed.

Turn off all the automatic setting and do a raw scan. The Epson software has an automatic and advanced setting. Go into the advanced setting and turn off all automatic adjustments.
I wonder if these are "enlarger" traditional silver prints or if they are scanned, Photoshopped and then output via something like a Lambda?
Fred, I mix this stuff myself and have chemistry in stock. I think I have enough to make a batch or two. If you PM me I can tell you about where I get all my chems. I'm in Toronto at Dupont and...
I think that they also have an un-advertised 11x14.
I would get a good manual, John Coffer's, and read the wetplate forum (http://www.collodion.com/). There are ways to get around the ether situation by immediately mixing it with alcohol (95%) and...
Very nice, like these a lot.
Sandy Hook is nice, especially the North end where you have some good views of Manhatten. Belmar Beach is nice, good pier. Asbury has a few nice places.
Oh, I forgot, when in Charleston eat at Hominy Grill, 207 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston - (843) 937-0930: High Cotton (best brunch of my life) 199 E. Bay St., 843/724-3815; Magnolia's 185 East Bay...
Edisto is lovely to shoot, Sullivan's Island has a great fort (Fort Moultrie) that has some lovely angles to it and it also has some good places to eat all on Middle Street, Poe's Tavern for great...
Wish I was one. Grew up in Durbs and miss it like the life is drained out of me.
And another from Toronto....
Hi David.
It is always a negative process. What makes it a positive is the "paleness" or silver colour of the exposed, developed and fixed silver. When viewed against a black background (if the...
Funny this topic would come up. The day before this topic was posted, I had my 8x10 Deardorff out on a tripod checking out a new lens and I looked at it and thought of it as a medium format.
Hi Banjo!
Thanks for the links, though I do know them both. KHB really suck at being helpful, they are actually the opposite of that. I'll give the people at Glenview a call, they have been...
Very cool! I've been using Mac software since 1982 (I helped launch the Mac in Canada) and would be very interested in testing this software.
My problem is I don't know where the adjustment points are. I have a laser alignment tool. I bought a manual from KHB in Mississauga but it had no real alignment info. I called KHB and, yet again,...
Not that, jp498, but thanks. It's more of everything being out of alignment and some things, like the negative tilt adjustment, seem to not be working. Or maybe it is and I don't quite know what it...
Hey all! Is there anyone out there that knows a lot about, or is an expert, or who has repaired a late-model (black) Beseler CB7?
Mine is in bad need of proper alignment. It was fine until last...
@Sascha.. couldn't agree with you more. You can't bookmark, print, uses a heckload of memory... all in all, Adobe has a lot to do to correct some basic flaws in Flash. That said, I do like the...
Another good place for BBQ is Jim N Nick's on 288 King St. in Charleston, SC. Decent BBQ, not the best, but very good. But, their biscuits are amazing and they have an okra and tomato stew with hot...
Yup, that's the only one I could find as well. I spent the night dreaming and came up with a good way to do it. Will post pix of it later next week. Use two layers of plexi (though wood would work as...
Hi all!
I've just spent the better part of 3 hours going over many posts, here and at APUG, doing searches etc. to find a post or two that I should have either printed or bookmarked. It was a post...
Filter factors, yes and I would like to see an app where you can mark where you took your Zone readings, shadow, mid and highlight readings with the exposures. Ideally you would take these readings...
Rubylith... works for so may things, this inlcuded.
I will as well, look out for this. My thoughts are with you.
I did give them a call, they no longer fix this stuff in North America.
Hi all!
Anyone know anybody who can repair a Dainippon Screen drum scanner? Go one that does 4x5 and it is not working properly.
Thanks!
Marek
Worse than Canon vs Nikon! Hell it's be worse than digital vs film! And so far, nobody has mentioned Kansas City BBQ, or Memphis, or Texas. This could get really nasty... and very tasty! I've been...
Welcome as well. I love Virginia, such a lovely state.
Funny, I asked them that as well a few months ago... I own one but would like to have it in stops as well and not time.
ACROS all the way....
Have a look at my good friend Osheen's site. He's a remarkable guy who make fab images.

Anyone have the formula for Sease #3?
Thanks!

Hey Kurt!
Welcome to another curmudgeon who is sad at the lack of demand for quality in today's world. You'll know the phrase "pleasing color". That's what people now think is what we called exact...
An electrostatic/HEPA air cleaner... Really, they work well and number one on my list! Number two are the gel floor mats. Then, magnetic stirrer, two of them with temperature controls, don't need...
