  1. Re: Any Experience With An Imacon Flextight Precision II Scanner

It's a good scanner. I don't know if it's impressive, but it's certainly better than the epson flatbeds. It isn't terribly quick though, you're looking at 15-20 min/scan and you have to run it on...

it's not helping you to scan at that size, it's just interpolating the data. Scan at a smaller size and do the interpolation yourself in photoshop. Your optical resolution is going to be somewhere...

  13. Re: Is it safe to use a 300mm Symmar-S on a 4x5 field camera?

I use a 240mm nikor copal 3 lens on my chamonix 4x5 from time to time--the lens barely fits on the board, and is quite heavy (typically it stays on my 810) but it has never been a problem, and I...

    Re: JOBO 3005 + 4x5 sheets?

totally possible--I use 350ml for 5 sheets of 4x5, and have good results. My guess is it's best to err on the side of extra chemistry since the drum is a little too large for 4x5.

  30. Re: Any Rumors, News or Info On Updates to Epson Stylus Pro 900 series printers?

the older epsons are great--the 9600s and 9800s seem to last forever, it's the x900 line that seem to kick the bucket, or at least the print heads go. It's really lousy.
