I would not question that the film would fit 6x9 holders. When you said 2" x 3" and mentioned graflex.org I assumed you were referring to the old 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" sheet format, like the Miniature...

Are you sure this is the size you think it is? I just measured a sheet of Arista 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 and it is 56mm x 81.5mm, or about 2-3/16 x 3-3/16".
62mm x 88mm is about 2-7/16" x 3-7/16".
No...
I ran across this awhile back. No drawings, but lots of photos and some good info.

I've used Edmunds a lot and they are a good source of information. However, they are located in Santa Monica, California within spitting distance of the Pacific. Down there, winter driving is safer...
I have an Outback wagon and there are a couple of considerations that haven't been mentioned. First, there are chains and then there are chains. I've used both cables and chains and personally I...

A simple way to help visualize what you will get is to take a piece of heavy paper and cut it to the size of your ground glass. Then mark out a 6x9 rectangle on it and cut it out so you have a 6x9...
Only one: "Quote" is indeed a real word. It is a verb, and you'll find it in that form at the lower right corner of each of these posts. :)
Not having an unabridged Oxford English handy (only an Oxford American, which itself must be an amusing idea to a Brit), I was forced to resort to the abridged online version. According to that...
Another vote for the wider view of the Rolls.
I'd certainly include 1196. Jazz is so emblematic of New Orleans that the cymbal is, well, a symbol of sorts.
I agree with those that suggest wood plugs instead of putty, if nothing else they'll be stronger. I stripped a beater Crown and immediately gave up on the idea of trying to make patches match the...
I've never used one and know nothing about it, but Google came through for me. It looks like a PROFI-flex attachment for a Mastersix meter. If yours isn't exactly like this one at least you have...
Those id's are legit and are generated by eBay. This is a quote from eBay's bidding information:
"eBay limits how your bid history information is displayed by using anonymous names. When the...
This site appears to have downloadable Minolta meter manuals. I haven't actually downloaded one so I can't vouch for the quality.

If you need to make any sharp bends in spring steel, you ought to anneal it first in the area you will be bending. I haven't tried this, but one way going about it can be found here:

Looks like pretty good info
OK, how 'bout three cords? ;) Frame wide and crop? Crossed laser pointers?
One of those styrofoam heads used for holding wigs mounted on a light stand or a broomstick might work better than a stuffed animal as a "model", since it will help you to see how the light will look...
Thanks for sharing a great story and a wonderful portrait. I wonder if the people who made that lens ever considered that it might still be making classic portraits over a century later.
If you cut up a Guinness can you have black aluminum in which you can make a pinhole. Mount it on a lensboard and stick it on your Linhof. You get an optic, and you get to drink the Guinness.

They used to be on the Minolta site but that is apparently extinct.
The problem is, the HC-110 has no clue where the neg came from, so why would there be problems from "field" negatives vs "test" negatives unless there was something intrinsically different about the...
Have you tried playing with the spacing of the neg above the glass? The Epsons I've used seem to come to best focus a millimeter or two above the glass.
I did a Crown too and yours looks good so far. For the brass nails you might ask at the local hardware for escutcheon pins. They are available in a few diameters (18 ga. being most common) and you...
One source of extreme cold that is somewhat easier to come by than liquid nitrogen is dry ice in denatured alcohol.
I'd only consider boiling if the range of the thermometer includes 100C, for a...
Another possibility you might want to look at is the CD book "Exploring Simple Lenses" by John Evans. It's currently $19 and despite being mainly about single-element lenses it may be of interest....
Some do, some don't, and the models change too quickly to keep track. The best place I know of for specs and reviews of digicams is www.dpreview.com. Lots of info on most available cameras all in one...
As a newbie to the forum, I would point out that there are probably people out there like me who have dabbled in LF for years, but for one reason or another have never gotten really serious about it....
I use a product called De-Solv-It to remove labels, adhesives, tar, and other gunk. It's a citrus-based product that's sold by the local grocery store in a spray bottle. Be aware that most...
The Weld-on #4 and #16 are the most common cements. #40 is a two-part material that actually forms new acrylic in the joint. It's the strongest, but it's also more expensive and a pain to use. It is...
Such things do exist. The industrial versions tend to be moderately expensive (>$100) but there are "hobbyist" devices that are pretty cheap.
I did a quick googling of "interval timer" and came up...
