    Re: GnassGear closed down?

I don't think it is the fires.

I have even tried emailing again but no response. It is pretty rude not to acknowledge your customers! Needless to say I am not very happy about it!!

    GnassGear closed down?

    Hi all,

I purchased some items online from GnassGear two months ago.

  3. Re: Can screw-in UV filters be used for LF lenses?

For anyone else's information, I found a few old Hoya screw-in UV filters for the 90mm and 210mm lenses and all is ok. The 150mm is less protruding so it should not be a problem.

    I will probably...
  4. Re: Can screw-in UV filters be used for LF lenses?

    Hi Gene,
    Thanks for the quick response.

  5. Can screw-in UV filters be used for LF lenses?

    Hi all,

I know many of you do not use UV filters on your LF lenses. However, I live in a coastal area where sand and sea salt make UV filters (for lens protection) almost a necessity. I used this...

Re: Correct tripod kit for my Tachi 4x5?

Thanks again to everyone for your input.

In the end, I decided on a Markins M20 ball head and Gitzo 2530LVL tripod. It's a nice combination for the Tachi in 'calm' conditions. I have not tried it...

....apologies niubi for hijacking your thread :)
  9. Re: E6 chemicals: unhealthy for home processing?

I'm assuming I can just mix the chemistry in daylight/outdoors so there would not be a ventilation issue?
  10. Re: E6 chemicals: unhealthy for home processing?

    Thanks Greg,

Is the 3 step E6 process (Tetenal one-shot kits) less harmful than the 6 step process?

Re: Best 4x5 camera for 75mm lens?

It seems nobody has had much experience with the Shen-Hao bag bellows to answer my previous query.

But hopefully the Tachi owners can answer one final question...for cameras like the Tachi which...

Does anyone know if the Shen-Hao can be folded with the bag bellows or would you have to re-attach the standard bellows for packing?
