Hi y'all
Long time lurker here; perhaps you're interested in an article I recently published on PetaPixel - strange self-made camera, strange art, tons of fun. I started my journey into LF and...
For wide angle bellows where sagging is not an issue, I've used neoprene before, something akin to the way the Cambo Actus bellows look (hex pattern, glued and folded inside out, then individual...
I've recently modeled a custom LF lens head mount assembly and am having that printed at Shapeways, for a custom hand held LF cam. I'll share some pics when I have it.
Best,
Max
Thanks for your quick replies; well, it seems that some combination of large-ish aperture and the color fuji material properties lead to the unsharpness, then.. what a surprise, I didn't expect this...
Hi all,
using a Fuji PA145 holder I seem to get a consistent slight unsharpness across my shots.. Checking ground glass focus with a loupe, everything's fine, and later when scanning the...
and did the 150 work ok?
Hi all,
currently shooting with a Shen TZ45IIB and its leather bag bellows, as I've so far used a 90mm lens, exclusively. However, I'd like to go a bit more "normal" without having to changing the...
EDIT: a couple of good whacks (yes, I admit it..) and computer duster spray into the squeaky thing did the trick....
load instructions here:...
yes there are slide-under-the-gg roll film holders but they are pretty expensive I think.. I think Linhof produced some, too, but can't really remember.
taking off the gg on the shen is not a real...

ahhh! you're my heroes! it works, just as Gordon described it, and as illustrated in the PDF. Makes me shake my head in wonder that my, errmm, "method" allowed me to take some exposures at all...
oh, I was under the impression that the darkslide paper has to go through the two rollers to get the first frame pull strip through there. how / through what aperture should I thread the beginning of...
yes, I cleaned them several times and there's nothing stuck in them.. can't figure out what else the problem might be. Does anyone have any more experience with this piece of hardware, also possibly...
hi folks,
so I finally got some time to spare to shoot LF, taking the smaller Fuji holder with 10 packs to the US with me - only to be completely unable to get it working reliably.
Destroyed...
so now you got another line to peruse. ;P
what's "achtelieber"? Ach Du lieber??
there actually already are instructions in English, as mentioned.... bought one and was sent them, and that was from Japan, even!
But I'll write to them concerning the PA145, now English...
hi all, and fellow Berliners! :)
Peter- well, I plan on shooting sub- and periurban landscapes, in Berlin as well as the US. As you can see from my site, I mainly do "experimental landscapes",...
looks like it might work, though I'm not sure from the pics... in comparison, the Shen back is visible here: http://www.shen-hao.com/TZ45PICEN.html
what stops me for a moment is that on your...
yea, vinny has a point. but if you're worried about the springs, you can always use it with the GG removed. That's one of the things I wasn't so sure about whether it's possible - but indeed it is....
it *should* fit standard backs.. either under the groundglass or slid on with the GG removed. I was worried about the exact same question as you (though I have a Shen Hao), but now I think that was a...
well, finally assembled almost all of the gear but the bag bellows - as previous posters mentioned, for a 90 they really seem advisable. Movements are possible with the standard bellows, but they...
thanks for all the answers! It seems I'll get the bag bellows with it, then...
Also, does anyone happen to know whether the fuji instant holders (pa 145 and 45, the latter I'm interested in more...
fyi, I talked to Mike but he could only tell me that if it were to fold shut, it'd most likely work with older lenses and reversed lens board prior to closing it..
I'm researching other options..
Hi there,
in researching many LF cameras, I was unable to find extensive information on the back of the Shen Hao TZ45 IIB.. I understand it has an international back that will take most film...
thanks, friends!
.. oh yea.. let the therepy begin! ;}

yea perhaps a recessed board would be a thing to consider, then... or I'll have to remove & stow in back when moving after all. bummer!
Hi there,
new to LFF ( see http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?p=476439#post476439 for my intro :) and beginning to assemble a kit.
Heeding the archival wisdom of this...
hi folks,
I'm new here... and slowly migrating towards LF! :)
