Terrific interview and excellent work! And as Carl wrote, thanks for the references.

Not sure how uncommon they are, but I have Nikkor Q 300 in Copal 1. It's a fine lens and I actually like the single coating.
Regarding clips, someone on this forum suggested using hemostats. You can get them cheaply on the auction site. They work very well and only bite a tiny area of the film.
Ditto on what Keith wrote. My Nagaoka did the same thing when I got it and doing that fixed it.
If cheap ($50-100) is what you want, the old B&L Tessars are certainly that but can work pretty well.
If you're interested in such a lens, I have a 5x8 1c (~240mm focal length) mounted to a...
My first shots from a bulk roll of Tech Pan (exp. 2002) that I recently acquired. Worked out pretty well using Photographer's Formulary TD-3 for 13 minutes. Taken using a Contax IIIa fitted with a...
5x7 contact prints are easy and economical to make, and are really quite nice. You could probably also get an inexpensive holder for your scanner, but give the contact printing a shot - you are...

CRC worked pretty well for me though the 8x10 film I had processed there was very old so there was a color shift. Otherwise it looked good (and clean IIRC).

I just got one of these in barrel (thanks Joe!) and before I make my own Copal 3 scale I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has made one that can be easily be duplicated. Perhaps someone has one that...

well... obviously the filament is visible... I meant to say that the windings have definition, especially when the curves or levels are tweaked in PS.
Yes, the filament is visible, though not as defined as I wanted it to be. But given the crazy bellows factor I'm pretty happy the way it turned out.
I wish I had some serious vacuum tube...
