    Re: Cescolite Development Tray Question

I use the dimple-bottom Cescolite trays for printing 8x10 and 11x14. I got them when my cheap, nearly fifty year old trays, were starting to chip and split.
The dimples do help in picking up the...
  3. Re: Robert Adams and Gerhard Steidl Video

Yes, he mentioned that it’s now difficult for him to walk longer distances.
I like both his photographs and his writing on photography.

    Re: Paper safes

Re: rabbit hole of F stop printing

I attest to this method's simplicity; it's so simple and straightforward to work with.

I have no doubt that F/Stop printing is a wonderful system but it's just another way to skin a cat, and...
  9. Re: Kodak Chemicals coming back under Photo Systems inc.

Up until Kodak still made B&W printing paper, everything I used was made by Kodak; now I'm down to Tri-X and two Kodak chemicals: Rapid Selenium and XTOL.
Everything else is from someone else,...

  11. Re: New Darkroom Build: But I forgot what a darkroom is! HELP!

A few cursory observations (suggestions, not diktats):

You may want to filter the water, depending on how much sediment/rust is coming through.
    You don't have to have a big sink; it's a luxury. ...

  13. Re: DIY Drop Down Table + wall mount Durst 1200 Laborator

I had once made a wall mount for the Durst Pro; took some time but straightforward enough to make and to mount on the wall.

Re: Nikor 4x5 Tank developing issue

What kind of marks? Scratches? If the negatives are streaked, the most likely culprit is tank agitation. Others will chime in with suggestions.

Same here (and same lens) and for the same reasons. It stays on the the folded Linhof Tech. camera, ready to go.

  20. Re: Are Graflex Grafmatic film holders more trouble than they're worth?

Thanks for the info. Ten sheets in one holder sounds great.

  24. Re: 45% Humidity and Ilford FB Still Won't Dry Flat

Yes. Remove the Mixing Box and replace it with the one provided by Heiland.
If it doesn't fit just right - you can't lock it in place - file down the bottom of the side pins just a tiny bit.
  29. Re: Heico Perma-Wash vs. Ilford Wash-Aid Logistics?
