Taken on a hike along Donaldson Run in Arlington, VA. There are a surprising number of wooded trails in the immediate environs of Arlington/Washington DC.

Randy, I'm sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Further experimentation with my homemade 250mm landscape lens. This was at f/6 (wide open)...
I've heard these referred to as "retina prints." I'm not sure if there's a flickr group specifically for this.

How about shooting macro without needing a special lens? As long as you can rack out the bellows far enough you can shoot macro with no special equipment.
Also, with a small format camera you can...
I really like the pencil work in there, Randy. The mixed-media look is appealing. It's a happy accident I'd say.
Dave, congratulations!
That looks like the batteries along the Potomac just south of Washington DC. I'll have to get a photo when it warms up...
You are absolutely correct, Andrew. I was confused by the printing artifacts that looked like brush strokes.

Randy, how did you tone that Van Dyke brown such a deep blue??

Beautiful countryside.
David, pardon my ignorant question, but what is this an image of? I have no sense of scale - this could be huge or a macro! I love it for that very reason, but I'm curious.
Best,

Given how dumb I was with the bulk loader (twice! [nod to Steve K]) I'm not leaving anything to chance...

Austin, as one who grew up in the rural Midwest, I really identify with your photos of the old barns and appreciate how you treat them so well in your images.

Here's a good (small format) one for you.
I set up to roll a cassette of 35mm film yesterday, something I haven't done in a while. I taped the film to the spindle, fixed the spindle in the bulk...
David, I love the warm feeling of this. Very nicely executed.

Welcome, Stephen. I'm a couple hours north of you in the Metro DC area. I also have an old Toyo monorail that I mostly use in the house - I do need to get it outside more often. You've got lovely...

Could be a Juniper of some sort?
Fabulous shot, as always, Sergei.
I took mine out to a wooded park over the weekend and shot some pinhole images. SO light and easy to use. Just need to make time to develop the film now...
Ari, wonderful job on Miriam.
Another very nice issue, Laura. Please keep 'em coming!

Beautiful!
Thanks, Rick!
Does anyone know an approximate f ratio for the pinwide cap mounted on the 90mm travelwide body? Mine arrived Tuesday and I'm psyched to start playing but I'd like to be able to ballpark some...
You're too kind, bracan. The work that you've shared here is daring!
In direct contrast to bracan's avant garde images, here's a more traditional headshot of a photographer friend. A group of us rented a local studio and combined a happy hour with a headshot...
No, I haven't. In fact I didn't have a filter on the camera for that shot. The light coming through the trees worked just perfectly to give that highlight on the center frond.
