I have a Steinheil Orthostigmat that seems to be a convertible design. Front and back combined gives a focal length of 13.5 cm with max aperture of 6.7, front has a focal length go 26cm...
i agree with Vinny. Use ground glass rather than the rangefinder. So many things can go wrong with the rangefinder, such as a bent cam

I've tried and like it a lot, the quickfix plates are big enough, larger and more stable than the gitzo ones anyway, and it's much easier to level the camera. I now use it for both 4x5 and medium...
