  1. Re: longest focal length possible on Sinar norma w/ 6 inch rail?

As far as I know the rails will fit any Sinar (Norma, F, P).

We aren't allowed to discuss prices around here, but the ones I bought cost me a tenth of the amount you mention ... just to give you...

Re: 2 Links to More Fantastic Links.......WOW

The Diana Bloomfield book creations - really nice stuff. Cyanotypes can be so good when you nail it.

The portfolio stuff is also great - a lot to see and think about in there. I enjoyed the...

    Re: Linhof Dekel Shutter History

Dekel? Isn't that good ol' Friedrich Deckel?

For the 1946 version - could it be that there wasn't much left of the factory, leaving only spare parts to make shutters out of?

    I think it is...

Here is one idea, for example:

    https://fstop138.berrange.com/2016/09/building-a-uv-led-light-box-for-cyanotype-and-lumen-printing/

There are some mentions of the spacing of the LED strips, but...

Re: Schneider Symmar 5.6 / 240mm on Sinar DB board

I am just guessing, but I think the mechanism is very simple, relying on the coil being strong enough to move the black metal piece connected to the aperture ring. Since you release it by pressing...

Re: Schneider Symmar 5.6 / 240mm on Sinar DB board

The "mickey mouse ears" (DB) mounted lenses that I have experienced have been a bit stiff to move in general, which may be because of its construction, or that the aperture on the lens itself is...

  15. Re: Rethreading screws (the search for replacement screws)

Indeed, sir. The thread is worn out, metric or otherwise.
  16. Re: Rethreading screws (the search for replacement screws)

Thanks to everyone that contributed to the thread (pun intended, hah) this far.

  17. Re: Voigtländer Euryscop No. 6 Series IV Real World Coverage ?

  18. Re: Rethreading screws (the search for replacement screws)

  19. Re: Rethreading screws (the search for replacement screws)

  21. Re: Rethreading screws (the search for replacement screws)

  22. Re: Rethreading screws (the search for replacement screws)

  23. Replacement screw for Sinar Norma

    I am in a pinch ...

I think I need to replace a shoulder screw. It all looked like the sunny side of the street, that it would be a regular M5 screw. A slotted screw, but still ... no problem....

    Re: Sinar Norma Adjustments

    I measured the other shims.

The shift has two shims, inner diameter 5 mm, outer 12 mm and thickness is 0.08 mm, so I guess one shim with 0.15 mm thickness could also work. The swing has only one...

    Re: Sinar Norma Adjustments

I measured the diameter with a vernier caliper. I think the outer diameter is of less importance, and my shims anyways fit a bit loose on the rod, so I think you will be fine.

Re: The Uncanny Tale of Shimmel Zohar
