I don't know if different size washers are set up differently. But on my 20x24 washer, the lower outlet drains the entire washer & the upper outlet is where the wash water comes out.
Someone om APUG suggested trying heat & it worked. I used a tacking iron & the bellows came loose rather easily.
The opening in the front of the bellows is only about 1/8" smaller than what's needed to allow my 90mm Nikor-W & 210mm Caltar II from fitting. If i could take 1/16" from each side of the bellows...
The 4x5 Busch Pressman, and maybe a lot of others, has the front of the bellows glued to a metal "plate" that screws to the front standard. I want to make the opening in the plate a bit wider - the...
I've done 16x20 B&W fiber prints in Jobo 2830 & 2840 connected drums without any problems. I couldn't tell any difference between drum & tray developed prints. I used double the recommended...
Well, so far I've got it adjusted & can load 12 sheets without any problem, lights on. Next I'll try it with the lights out & see if I can get the retaining band on in the dark.
Thanks for all the tips.
Just got one on the auction site & was wondering if any users had some tips. I filled it with water & it holds 1.3 L, right? Any advice on how many sheets to develop at once, etc, will be...
I stripped a piece of #12 Romex, about 1ft long. Wrapped one of the insulated wires around the horizontal arms of the lift & formed a loop in the other end. I use this to lift the drum clear of the...
100% traditional and always will be.
Don't forget to take a bite out of the sandwich first.:D
They work fine with my Tachihara's spring back.
Try www.americanframe.com
I used a light gray on mine. I don't know if white would cause a problem or not. I used marine topside paint on mine & the only "problem" I had was C-41 developer staining it.
A NEW Jobo CPP-2 & lift, earlier this year.
Are you looking for the short extension rail, or just a short rail?
Age is only a number
"Old" is a state of mind.
Items permitted but not considered part of the allowance include camera, coats, purses (25cmx30cmx20cm or less), urns containing human remains, strollers, child restraint systems, canes, crutches,...
5)Sally Mann used one (only it was in better condition than yours---hence yours is worth more)
And if Sally Rand used it, it's worth WAY more. (on a camera!)
Is there a knob on both ends of the focusing shaft? I've found on my Tachihara that when I'm focusing using the right hand knob, the left one will self tighten as I rack the bellows out. I have to...
Here's what I've learned the hard way about my new CPP-2...
1. Three rolls of 35mm to develop. Hmm these 2502 reels are hard to load; should have practiced first. No problem; I'll just drop this...
I keep hearing about people walking into good deals, but it never seems to happen to me - until now.
Coming back to Michigan from my cousin's Bed & Breakfast in the Ohio Amish country, I took the...
Re: the fragile ERfke film issue.
I'm new at LF, been doing it for about a year, but I've never had scratching problems with Efke PL-100 or Pl-25 . Maybe it's because I process it in a Combi-Plan...
I can't find anything on the ATL-3 at Jobo's (Omega) web site, so I thought I'd ask here.
What is the largest drum it will handle?
Will it handle the Expert series drums?
Does anyone know...
I'm with you, Jane. In the few months I've been using 4x5, I really haven't had one shot I'd call a keeper, BUT I've enjoyed it and learned more from it, than the past several years with 35 & 6x7. ...
Dave, I'll definitely be keeping the Calumet, at least until my girlfriend starts screaming at me to get 'that damned camera and tripod out of the living room!'
A Tachihara on a wood tripod could...
I develop Tri-X 320 in Pyrocat-HD in a Combi-Plan tank in a manner similar to hangers. I leave the lid off the tank & agitate the film holder by raising & lowering it like hangers. I've had no...
I'm here every day. Always trying to learn.
I used Super Glue on mine.
Thanks to everyone. Ilford it is.
I've also asked the CC outfit to send me a card that won't melt. I'm going to Chicago on the 14th and plan an expedition to Calumet to pick up a "few" goodies. ...
Being a real newbie to large format - the camera won't be here until next week - I've been wondering which film to start with. I'm not really a fan of T-Max in 35 or MF, and I'm concerned about...
