    Re: Sun shot

Thanks for the info. I'm on Mt. Desert Island now and will try some sunset shots this evening. A front came through last night so the air is very clear. I also have some delta 100 so I can the...

I have been experimenting with including the sun into some of my photographs and have met with miserable results. After seeing (and buying an expensive coffee table book... first time) the...

    Re: Yellowstone mob scene help

We have a few of those fellows in NH. The state issues a bumper sticker:
"Brake for Moose! It could save your life." I shows the level of confidence the state has in general public. Probably...

    Re: Yellowstone mob scene help

We're doing a couple of days at GT as well. From what I can see from other people's shots, good photo ops abound! All I have to do is take the shot... right.

    Yellowstone mob scene help

We are going to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons in the middle of July and I'm, of course, taking my Sinar F1 along for the ride. I've perused the forum entries for topics on these locations and have come...

    Re: tools for zone focusing

An electronic loup. An interesting idea. I had something like a meter that would indicate the peak contrast in mind, but this might be a simpler solution. I'll take a look around the local sources...

    Re: tools for zone focusing

    How about this:
Sinar has an exposure wand that will allow you to detect the light intensity at any spot on the film plane. How about mounting a passive autofocus CCD in a similar fashion and using...

Re: Mounting B&J Saturn to Davis and Sanford

The problem is not at the point where the rail fits to the mount (thing with ugly brown knob). The movement is caused by the mount not being able to tighten up sufficiently to stop the whole thing...

Mounting B&J Saturn to Davis and Sanford

My B&J Saturn 75 has a stability problem. As you can see from the photo below, I have it mounted on Davis and Sanford 'jaw-breaker' by means of an elaborate combination of 'stuff'. This...
