I agree, and make sure you have well written meta tags. If you do that you are almost guaranteed decent positioning on search results considering the nature of the subject.

Those lenses would be even bigger if they were in Texas! ha!
Katie - Ansco 8x10, 15" Cooke @f5.6 - chitty scan of RC print.
Both my scanners are going kaput.
I remember when WCI actually tried to keep their customers happy.
The last two orders from them were WRONG. One on a tight deadline shipped the wrong quantities
of the prints, (reversed), and the...
I set my snipe at $259 and went to bed. Imagine my surprise the next morning at $840, hahaha, all I could do was laugh at "someone".
Well the packard was worth at least $59, thus my "high" bid.
Hi Raffay,
That's exactly what happened. Your safelight app on the ipad is not safe.
The "watermark" is an exact image of the film box. The film was exposed slightly
while laying on top of the...
Raffay, to me it looks like maybe your ipad fogged it while it was laying on top of the box?
You can see more lettering at the top of the door frame to the right. I could tell you for certain
if I...
well I can't find any reference of a 240/9 with 35.5 filter threads, however, 35.5mm is a spec for filter thread on the 150/9-W, and the 105/4.5 tessar.
I would tend to trust your measurement in...
In the book of pyro Hutchings says that is how you agitate. If you are not splashing the agitation is too gentle.
I can definitively say that the copy I had did NOT cover 12x20 at infinity. It was near an inch and half short on each side. Other than that it was a fantastic lens. Great contrast, color, and very...
I've been doing 12x20 in trays but I'm considering trying a piece of 4" PVC on a unicolor base. Is this going to work or be a problem?
Not sure exactly how to go about it. I guess glue the cap on...

Not what I was going for on the lighting at all , but I almost liked the split lighting effect.
I'll try again tonight or tomorrow.

How many of those clips are there. four? Try taking out all the clips except one. Put in the glass, in the first clip, then insert the second clip opposite to the first, you should be able to rotate...

Just playing around, more practice

The Ranch in Hondo. Zone VI 8x10, Wollensak series A one size too small. HP5 in pyro MC, test / contact print
I asked the boy not to move! But he made a silly face and therefor focus off on both shots :)
Agfa Ansco 8x10, Cooke 18", HP5 in pyro mc, test/contact prints.
Smaller grain is easier to focus, but it takes longer to grind the screen with smaller grain. So you start say a 5 micron grain and grind for a while, then switch to a 3 micron grain to finish it up....
Scott,
I have a shot of that same Yucca and Opuntia, and a few of those rocks. To the left in my photo.
yup I stick my nose right up in all the prints I view. such a rebel breaking all those rules.
Only when I need them, and depending on the subject. Rarely for portraits, but commonly for landscape I use tilt, and or rise or swing. Sometimes you can't put the tripod where you want it. Silly to...
Happy New Year.
Here's a couple from September on the Marathon Basin.
A Mojave rattlesnake, and Housetop Mountain.
setting up the 12 x 20 for a shot in the sierra de caballo muerto
12x20 film hangers? is there such a beast? My large trays have ribs on the bottom and I already know that will be a problem from shooting this 8x10 xray, and of course the information in this thread....
For sure, there is plenty to love about both styles and everything in between. I think Frank was just having fun anyways, maybe :P
Not too much of the other stuff please! ;)

plus one!
That's pretty old. I really don't think this one is that old however, something tells me it was made between 1926 and 1939.
This one is in remarkable shape really. I need not do a thing to it and...
