I really like mine. I try and use it at least once a week. A solid, simple enlarger that looks great to boot.

Re: fogged fiber paper and potassium bromide

Zsolt, I've tried KBR and TAF-1 (a product from Photographer's Formulary) and now I'm using the Moersch stuff. All of them work. I just found my development times getting longer than I like with KBr...

Re: fogged fiber paper and potassium bromide

Acquire some Moersch Restrainer Neutral. 5ml in a liter works for me with age fogged paper. It comes in a 100ml bottle. Very easy solution for you. It's also cheap given what it does, only about 6...

Re: Is f11 max practical in the field?

  8. Re: Present state of Lith printing, what are you using?

I really like the Portriga. I have some fogged Zone VI Brilliant I'm going to try the next session. Have fun. it's kinda cool how fog has no apparent bearing on the results.

Re: Repairing enlarger counter balance reel?

Here's the insides. BTW the hole I assumed for oiling would place the oil near the base of the spring case which would direct it toward the pivot.

  26. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

  27. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

Any guesses to what asa i should rate some ancient 8x10 Type M Kodak xray film I just got. A quick coin and flash the lights test shows only very very minor fogging which might be the base tint ?...
