Clarence,
I have an Empire State 8x10 that has exactly the same type of rear swing as your two whole plate. Apparently they believed nothing interesting would need to be photographed with swing...
Here is one of my many mistakes. Uncoated Voltas 13" lens pointed into the sun with out a lens hood. Guess what happens?

How about a 4x5 Graphic View II view camera? Then lens board should fit and the View II has enough bellows extention to handle the 10" Ektar.
The lens will also cover 5x7 so you could look for...
Jay,
If you find some one to make you one, have them make two. I need the exact same knob on my 2D.

Hey Dan,
What is the lens on the top camera in your post? Is it a Waterbury Lens?
Wayne
Rumor has it that the Kodak Ektar 203mm is sharpest wide open.

I bought a brass Darlot Petzval with hood and flange for $2.00 at a country auction to use for portraits on my 5x7. Granted it does not have a shutter or autofocus but it gives a different signature...
Hi Luke,
Welcome to the madness. I'll bet a Beseler 45 enlarger will fit in your basement.

My mystery lens is a Hexar Ser. 1 f4.5 21cm Rokuoh-sha. It is mounted in an Ilex Acme No.4 shutter. I bought it for the shutter but I think I will try a few shots with it.
Any body familiar with...
I had planned on shooting today. Woke up to 30 degrees and rain, which equals ice on everything. Shot this on back deck to try to get motivated to go photograph today.

In addition to using Carol I have used Paul Ebel.

Wollensak did not recommend it for 5x7, it is listed as a 4x5 coverage lens. I suppose I should mount mine on the 5x7 and shoot a test shot to see if it is true.

Thank You, Ed.
Here is a feeble attempt at a portrait, Graphic View II with 190mm f4.5 Kodak Ektar and Arista film I think. Crappy scan, dust, etc.
...
I'll bet it says Ralph Golsen Supply. They were a distributor in Chicago, Ill.
I'll second the 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 which would be full plate.

This just an update on oaklandlenscom. Today May 9th, 2008 I received my lens board adapter for my Kodak 2D. The adapter board holds the 4"x4" lens boards just fine. A little tweaking will be...
Stephanie,
Can you unscrew the front and rear lens cells from the shutter?
If so you can soak them (the lens cells, not the shutter) in household ammonia cleaner. This should kill the fungus,...
rgpracer,
I have a NOBA 1/4 plate camera that came with a Wollensak 9 1/2" (241mm) f4.5 Raptar that is coated. A Packard shutter is installed in the camera.
I don't know if this helps you.

There is an adapter board available that allows the Super Graphic lens board to be mounted on the Graphic View I, Graphic View II, and Anniversary Speed graphics.
They come up on E-Bay...

I will second the caution on oaklandlenscom. I paid for a lens board adapter and never received it. I sure would not send him a lens to mount into a lens board.
I just made my own lens boards...
lenser,
It is supposed to cover 11x14 according to their propaganda.

This is what I use to cut holes in lens boards. It should be used in a drill press:

It costs about $15 at home improvement...
I have a 5x7 Pony Premo No. 4. made by Rochester Optical Co. It currently does not have a ground glass but I can stick one on it. Needs to have some brass screws to re attach the front standard to...
Don,
What size are you looking for? Does it need to have a lens and/or a ground glass back?
I might have just the ticket for you.
Wayne
Thank you Ernest.
I used your formula and came up with approximately f16, f32 and f45 respectively for the three washers that I have with this Waterbury lens. It is roughly a 14" focal length.
...
I'm going to guess 19 3/16" if it is an f6.3
Wayne
Thanks Jim. Your Waterbury looks just like mine. I think I'll put it on my 5x7 and have a shooting session with it.
I'm thinking I'll use it for some wet plate photos. I picked up 4 5x7...
I attended a country auction in town 60 miles from home to look at the "Antique" portrait camera and about 30 antique cameras they had listed in the bill of sale.
I came home with a couple of...
Here are my 2 cents. The Verito f4 11 1/2" was marketed as covering a full plate 6 1/2"x8 1/2". The Versa F6 11x14 was an 18" lens.
I suppose it is possible that the front element of the Versa...
"Pete" Wettach of Mt. Pleasant Iowa. I love his use of the Graphic bed as a lens shade:

Katie,
Perhaps the painting you were thinking of was Portrait of Susanne Lunden by Peter Paul Ruebens?

I have to agree also!! My C-1 holds my Vitax No. 3 with ease and the C-1 almost weighs more than the Vitax!!
I figure if the C-1 was good enough for Yousef Karsh it is good enough for me.
Wayne
David,
You will want to look for 4"x4" lens boards, the Graphic View takes a different lens board than the later Crown and Speed Graphics these have rounded corners. The older Anniversary Speed...
I think Kodak made some metal sheaths that were 5x7 overall with a 4x5 cut out to hold 4x5 film. I have some and some that are 8x10 overall to hold 5x7 film for use in 8x10 film holders.
How...
After some horse trading and buying sprees I now have some Kodak Ektar f3.5 100mm lens elements and one set of elements in a Flash Supermatic shutter which I believe once was attached to a Kodak...
Ash,
My 4x5 Korona View decal looks exactly like the one Jiri posted.
Wayne
Ash,
I have a 5x7 Korona that has a simple brass plate screwed on with two screws. The Brass plate says simply KORONA.
I also have a 4x5 Korona View that has a decal that reads:
