StoneNYC, the Lee ND grads I use are perhaps 2 oz. each, made of resin. Think about getting the resin filters! The only glass ND square filter I have is a 10-stop Big Stopper.

11th essential: common sense. If you aren't in good shape, plan short trips in moderate weather, and work your ways into shape. I resemble this comment, and I have little excuse - I work in a...

Fabulous to know that there is a train thread. Some of my planned subjects are grain elevators, one adjacent to the tracks in the middle of the city, one on the Mississippi River.

Pfiltz, what a lovely image of a rather sad bus, complete with a "tear", the piece of headlight glass (?) in the foreground grass. Such rich tonality. Rodinal, hmm.

Just think, with the three-wheel stroller, not only will you have people staring at you while you photograph something, but they will be staring at you while you drag your gear to the location ;)
  8. Re: What information should (always/never) accompany image posts?

I haven't thought of the Empire Hotel in 35 years. I used to spend the occasional weekend there in the mid-1970s, attending standing-room at the Met Opera across the street. I suppose they have...
