    hi yes i got a hot spot on all my shots when the comp was used in the regular way, but not when used at distances under 2 metre.

    i reversed the lens and it worked well at mid - infinity, no hot...

    i soak to saturate the paper ,dry ,then coat with a quality smooth 1 inch paste brush to get a reasonably heavy even top coat ,dry once...

    well i use it for carbon rag support, so i thought id give it a go with VD , trying to get the gel to sit higher on the paper and to get a smoother surface.

    it worked increased sharpness deeper...

    i use a second coat of sensitizer , allow to dry between coats, a drop or two of dichromate helps with contrast ,dont use too much though.

    i really love your colour shots, fantastic , especially the 35mm shots, they stand out from the 4x5.

    your black and white looks a little pushed around in photoshop, lots of peppering in the blacks...
