    nothing, unless you're using a grad filter or if shooting a side-lit scene where there are clouds overhead. Avoiding extraneous light is a good thing:)

    I'm awaiting bellows for my new 8x10 from him as well. I'll be machining my own frames. You could search out an online cnc shop and have a friend draw them up for you.

    the other thing I used to do with motion picture camera mat boxes/filter holders was attach a flap of black felt in front of the filter slot that laid back towards the camera to cover that open area....

    2nd vote for clearbags.com. Get the ones with the adhesive on the bag, not the flap. That way nothing will stick to the work when removing it.

    Splitter board is what i use. 4x10 film holders are available too. Split darkslide is what others use. Search split darkslide.
