Re: Gundlach Korona 5x7 question ❓

Thanks Mike, that's what I hoped as the camera doesn't have any forward tilt. I will only use movements sparingly and only as necessary.

    Gundlach Korona 5x7 question ❓

    I have recently acquired a Korona 5x7 camera with a 210mm lens.
The camera only has front rise on the front and some forward/backward tilt and swing on the rear.

Can the rear tilt movements be...

Thanks for the information on the lens.
The PDF file is interesting to read.

The camera that I have came with the lens in the title of this thread.
Can anyone tell me some information about it? I have searched on Google, but not found much about it.

    Re: 210mm lens comparison requested.

    Thanks for all your replies.
I have just bought my first 5x7 camera, a Gundlach Korona with Fidelity Elite sheet film holders and two lenses.

Does anyone know how the Sironar-N lens (non-APO) version compares with the Symmar-S of the same focal length? Coverage, filter sizes etc.

The Jobo B&W Manual (Art No. 4191) is very difficult to find. Good luck with your search and let us know if you find a copy.

    Re: Schneider 210mm f/6.1 lens.

Thanks for this. The Komura 6.3 may also be considered. Which ever lens I buy, it must be small enough to fold away without detaching from the camera.

    Re: Schneider 210mm f/6.1 lens.

Thanks Ian and Ritchie. My 150mm Xenar is a good lens and folds away neatly on my MPP mark 8 without having to remove it from the camera. It doesn't allow for much movement though with rise, fall and...

Re: Atomic X Readyload film from New55

Where Readyload is mentioned, do you mean that it can be used with a Kodak Readyload film holder? If so, I would be interested.

Re: UK places to process 4x5 sheet film?

The type of film are you using would make it easier to recommend a photo-lab.
Are you using colour reversal, colour negative or B&W negative film?

  16. Re: Best B & W film and developer for 4 x 5 newbie? Tank? Tray?

It does say 1500ml on the tank, but when I first used it I filled the tank with enough water to cover the 2509 reel and I found that 1200ml was enough.
  17. Re: Best B & W film and developer for 4 x 5 newbie? Tank? Tray?

I would buy a Jobo tank with a 2509n reel for 4x5 film sheets and inversion agitation.
This will more like what you were used to when you used Paterson tanks for 35mm films....

Re: New Ilford FB Family of Papers

I expect the new Ilford papers to be a different coating altogether.

I hope that Ilford introduce a new film soon, even if it is an improvement to an existing established film such as FP4 Plus.

Delta 100 already has very good reciprocity, but perhaps not quite as good as Acros.

  24. Re: Oh Readyload, why have you deserted us?

The Kodak Readyload film sheets were done by Polaroid under license, but they ceased trading, so not Kodak's fault to be fair.

Fuji do (or did?) an equivalent called Quickloads.

  36. Re: Best B&W film/developer for scanning (that's not bad for optical prints either!)?

For the finest grain, a true fine-grain developer and a high resolution film like T-Max 100, Delta 100 or 100 Acros would be a wise choice.
