+?. It's great! I love it and wouldn't be without it, but I also wouldn't be without my metronome.

    Re: UK Peak District Area

Re: Gitzo 1228 fiber tripod, parts

Try http://www.gitzospares.com/. They are excellent and very prompt. I think the part you want is #G1020 which is different (and better) than the original. Each of their web pages on a particular...

Re: Wista 45vx or Chamonix 045n-2

For what it is worth... I have an 045-2 and a metal field camera (an MPP VII, the English Linhof). The 045-2 is MUCH easier to set up and adjust. Using a 90mm wide-angle on the MPP is a nightmare...

    Re: Zone System (book)

Bruce Barnbaum's "The Art of Photography" is excellent on the Zone Systerm, and much else. For my money, it is the best "how to" book around.

Re: Upcoming trip to New Mexico

As others have said, you can't go wrong. The adobe churches on the Old Taos Road (San Josť de Gracia in Las Trampas and San Francisco de Asis at Ranchos de Taos) are fabulous -- the latter has been...

The Adams exhibition at the Peabody Essex in Salem MA is excellent (and worth a return visit), but I did find the legend on the exhibition entrance to be droll.

The shutter in question is a Prontor-SVS with stops which range from B and from 1 - 300.
  18. Re: Century Graphic 2 1/4 X 3 1/4 lens question

Nope! This one doesn't have a "T". The lenses that I have for my 4X5 MPP VII all have a preview button (or a "T" stop), but this little lens does not. But thanks for the suggestion. Cheers, David
