    Do you really NEED Photoshop?

I wouldn't want to be without 16 bit support or LAB mode. Other than that, elements is fine.

  4. What is the best scanner for the digitally ignorant??

If you can find one, an Acer 1240ut USB scanner is perfect for what you want to do. Don't pay more than $50 for it. Otherwise, the Epsons are the way to go.
  5. How does one tell if they have a real Toho?

    JL,

Please don't misinterpret my post. I think eBay is great for most people. But I must confess I get the worries every time I buy through them. It's my own personality defect I guess. I do...
  6. How does one tell if they have a real Toho?

    Leonard,

I talked to Jeff. He said that without the labels it is virtually impossible to tell the Toho from the Badger. I just have to wait and see what the documentation looks like. I'm hoping...

Yeah, it was top dollar, but a good price for a used Toho which are scarce used (for info, $825 + shipping, including 5 lens boards and a case for the bellows unit. Described as in very good...
  8. How does one tell if they have a real Toho?

    Don,

All the labels have been removed. I also can see where a label was afixed to the back of the hood door which is clearly shown on the M2. Does the Toho have something like this on the back?...
  9. How does one tell if they have a real Toho?

I bought a used Toho off of eBay. It's here and looks good but it has no markings what so ever that say it's a Toho and not a Badger knock off. How can I tell? Is there a serial number marking...

    John,

The link doesn't work. How many train buffs do we have here? If you're ever in Sacramento, be sure to check out the Railroad Musem there, it's very cool.

    Toho vs Badger M2

Talked to Jeff at BG and to the best of his knowledge the camera is not licensed (I didn't think it was).

Hogarth (and Frank) you guys are right. I just got a 6 month old one off eBay, with some...

    Toho vs Badger M2

Has anyone looked at these side by side? How does the Badger compare in fit and finish? Is the Toho worth the extra money? Any help would be great, I want to make my decision in the next few...
