thank you all, i spoke too soon, cocked the shutter and its jammed, won't budge, the release lever moves freely, but something is stuck....i think it will need repairing.... the t/b settings may have...

Got the shutter working, now to try it out.

I got it for a song....but the shutter won't cock, so need to take front off and have a look at what's up, then I'll try it out and see ;)
