MA in Studio Art, emphasis in photography from Lamar University. One of the best things I ever did!
I changed my name in court, no lawyers needed... just wrote up the document myself (I think you can find the templates online now) and paid the court cost (maybe $50). Done in about an hour. Easy. ...

Les McLean's book is very helpful.. Or better yet, take a workshop from him! He is a master at splitgrade printing. Also check out threads on apug on this topic... there are many there.
Hi Bruce (and Vinny)! There are quite a few of us in the Houston area... and we love to get together !
Clay beat me to it, with far more detailed info than I could provide.
What session of Meeting Place are you attending? I'll be at Session 3.
If there is interest, I could possibly host a photo...
You are welcome to use my darkroom as well. Also ask around at Sam Houston U. Maybe you can get some time in thier darkroom.
"She also fell in love with a little Rollie she saw the other night. "

Howdy Kevin (and Pam, if she is looking over your shoulder!)
"We are probably too busy working, taking care of the home, kids, etc and trying to do some decent LF that we don't speak too loud or too often. We are probably tired!!"
:-)
This was such a great meetup. Thank you to Clay, Wayne, Wes and others. Hoping that this becomes a (semi-)regular thing.
I"ll have my little digi-thing. And 2 "tag-alongs" who would love to take the photos.
Thanks Jeremy!
Neighbor now says a photo to go with the press release would be a good addition. Anyone have a pict of their LF camera in use? Otherwise I'll lift something off the internet.
Thanks... I'll send it along....
Ok guys... just send me something! ;-) Ideas from my neighbor were to mention "old fashion" methods in a digital age.... you know... that sort of thing. When I have something in hand, I'll just...
I have a neighbor who works for Channel 2. She said that they might do a special interest story on the LF workshop if we submit some kind of "press release". Is there any interest among this group...
I've got plenty of stray dogs, and stray kids! Both will model for food!
I have an 8x10 (with 8x10 and 4x5 backs for it). Yes, do mention on apug!
Early is good for me.........
Has a time been set yet? Trying to juggle my schedule for that day......
I'm pretty sure me and my lil' 8x10 can be there Feb.21.
I'd be up for a LF workshop in the Houston area as well (taking one, not teaching one!)
The little voices inside my head...
Its been a long while since I used it. Lovely daguerrotype-ish look. Contrasty prints worked best. My biggest (and most expensive) mistake was not using enough toner per print.
Correction: My...
I used it quite a bit several years ago. If interested, I have a few small photos left that were toned with it I could send you. Mr. Rudman's toning book has a very nice bit on using it. Wish I'd...
Howdy from almost-in-Houston....
Ok. Here's mine. Keep in mind that this is my VERY FIRST large format photo with my "new" camera. I aimed at some flowers in the house, did a fair amount of guessing, and this is what I got.

I don't believe they do 4x5, but could probably direct you to a place that does.
A lady never tells her age.
42 (my mother gave up on making a lady out of me a long time ago) ;)
No one has mentioned the coastal areas yet.... miles and miles of shoreline. Padre Island National Seashore, Port Aransas, Mustang Island...
Thanks everyone! THink I know a few of you from apug ;)
Diane,
Not sure about that yet.... lenses are what I am reading up on now. But I do tend to like to get up close to stuff......
Well, I've lurked around here for almost 2 years now, but never posted a thing because I did not have an LF camera. But thanks to many wicked people flaunting thier LF images (yea, that's you Church...
