Update: The serial number of the Ebony: 114182.
My beautiful Ebony 45SU has just been stolen from my studio in Copenhagen, Denmark.
It was mounted with a 210mm F5.6, FUJINON-W CM and a big Tamrac backback with 150mm f5.6 Schneider APO-symmar and...
As I remember, there are lots of press camera action in the highly recommendable "LA Confidental". Gotta see it again soon.
Thanks for your input guys.
Ok, I have a local dealer that has the Permajet papers, and compared to Ilford the prices are sustancially lower. Any thought about the general quality of Permajet papers? I canīt seem to find much...
...for your printer to take care of both your colour and BW needs, what would you choose?
The thing is, I have recently gotten a Canon IPF5100 and I just want to get a lot of printing done NOW. So...
You are damn right I didnīt read it. Did I miss anything?:D
"Out of country." *rolls eyes*
Who else than an american could even think about saying something like that in the context of the internet. Dude, it is the i-n-t-e-r-n-e-t.
And why is it always...
Hi European LF shooters.
Please spill your beans on where to buy for the least money.
So far I have only used Macodirect a couple of times, but I just realised that for a film like Portra 160NC...
Before going 4x5, I used the tilt/shift adapter on Mamiya RZ67 a lot. Not a lot of shift, but plenty of tilt.
Can we see some scans?
I am glad I am not the only one who thought about stuff you donīt really want to.
I would rather not be without spot metering. YMMV. (I have (and love) the Sekonic 758dr. Expensive, yes, but so great to use.
Oops, I just realised that it is from 2001. Oh well.
(Sorry if this has been posted already.)
Not so much LF content per se, but still quite interesting though, that an 8x10 was used for this (very cool) ManOfTheYear cover. See the video.

Like Darren, I like my LX-3. Plus off course my iPhone that always happens to be in my pocket. Sweet tools :-)
Forget the wiggly worm. I got it from RW, but it is not solid enough to hold the GG protection as shown on the RW site. I then got the Ebony thingy instead.
The short version: Get an Epson V700/V750 and be done with it.
Too few images in this thread ;-)
Just for fun: How does this one come across to you in terms of petzvalishness:

This chart is very handy BTW: http://www.largeformatphotography.info/lenses/LF4x5in.html
I am thinking about a way to fire the shutter wirelessly from a distance (100m would be nice). I have a feeling that I might have to resort to DIY using some cheap RC equipment, hooking up a servo to...
Just to be sure: Have you tried shooting architecture with your DSLR and just use photoshop or similar (Lightroom3 has it too) to straighten perspective up. I recently did a small job for Magasinet...

Ebony SU45, 210mm Fujinon W, 0.6 GND hard, Horseman 6X12, Fuji Reala 100, Tetenal C41.
Technicly I think it is my best...
Thanks Steve. So indeed it is the 3010 I want then.
BTW: What changes did Jobo make going from CPA to CPA2. Or in other words: Is the CPA also recommendable for my needs?
Ok, I hear my inner voice now says "go for the Expert drum, - you know you want the best".
Speaking of the Expert drums, I often see reference to the 3010, but what are the differences to the...
I have done quite a bit of research on these Joboīs but I still canīt make up my mind. So I will think out loud, and hope for some additional input.
My needs: 4x5, 120, 35mm. BW, C41, C6. Possibly...
Andrew, this being the internet and all, I canīt be sure about the amount of humour in your Q. But you being british, I will give you this answer:
Oh, that is just Humphry, a stuffed seal I carry...
Thanks, I think it is solved then. Using the Lee filter system is also new to me (as is LF), so there are some mistakes to be made and learn from.
Nope, the pola was in front (as it should).
I am wondering if I had avoided it if I had shaded the filters from the sun coming from the side.
@Lachlan: Taco style in Peterson drum. But I do think it is optical.
Can you guys help me here?
I would like to know what is the cause of the "light rays" in the upper right part of the sky?
I used a polariser (B+W linear), Lee ND grad and red filter. Lens is 90mm...
Fuji FP100c45 instant film converted to B/W after scanning.

I have the feeling that this product exists, but I canīt seem to find it:
A bag/pocket that hangs between two tripod legs and holds filmholders, roll film back and perhaps lightmeter.
Who makes...
What a wonderful and inspiring thread. I will have to work my way through all this amazing work.
Here is my very first 4x5 shot. I donīt regard it highly, but I am just proud that everything...
Good point John. I am sitting here tonight trying to scan my first 4x5 and I suppose I was really hoping for a quick solution from you guys. And letting out some frustration. I will contact...
I have used Silverfast (full version) for my Epson V500 for some months now, and although I find it clumsy, it has worked. Now because I wanted to scan my first 4x5 neg, I needed to do it in two...
This is only true if you look at it as a tool in conjunction with 4x5 film.
To me a polaroid is a media in its own right, and is just a cropped format, that can be used in the same way as shooting...
Thanks Frank!
Just a thought: Are there any holders to shoot the smaller non-4x5 (8.5x10.8cm) instant film on 4x5 cam with graflex back?
For some purposes that could come in handy, considering the prices of...
I would say an eye patch is nothing without wearing a leather skirt. Usually also with high-heel boots to go that extra inch higher.
