Re: problems with layer masks in CS2?

Re: problems with layer masks in CS2?

    Jack,
You got in going in the right direction! In CS I just clicked on the 'add mask' option on the layers palette. I found in CS2 I had to go to the menu option Layer/Layer Mask/Hide all. It all...

Re: problems with layer masks in CS2?

is CS, when I create the mask the D&S effect 'disapears' and is revealed by using the paint brush. In CS2, the effect remains on screen. Why?

problems with layer masks in CS2?

I've moved from CS to CS2 and I'm having problems with layer masks. I used to have an action for localised spot removal (even with quickloads, I always seem to get some dust on the film!), it used...

    Airport metal detectors and film...

It is not the film. I have never set off the alarm when carrying film, including polaroid and quick-loads through the detector.
  8. Why does the US seem to produce LF photographers?

An interesting buch of opinions. Before we call going away not having actually learned anything, anyone got any facts to backup their assertions?

Yes, Walt, it was an attempt at humour. I'm fed up of reading about new film being announced, only to find it's not available in sheets.

Getting the most out of the Epson 4990

I have scanned 10x8 colour film on the 4990, and had a print made that was 79" on the long size. This was on a Durst Lamdba printer at 400 dpi. I scanned at 2400. As I specifically wanted people to...

    Epson 4990 outdated?

Ive got a 4990 and it does a very good job with 5x4 and 10x8 film, so long as you understand it's limitations. I think of it as the contact print part of my workflow. If I want a large (> 16 x 20)...
